Vendor skill gems in 3.0

Hello,
I was not lucky enough to get on beta myself, so I have a question for everyone that tried.
It's about skill gems levels on vendors in 3.0

Well, till now skill gems level up on vendors till merciless level (clvl 40+ or something I guess). So it let us not really care about levelling all skillgems since low level. I've used to socket full build around mid merciless without losing much of skill experience.

How does it work now? Do vendors sell higher clvl gems on acts 6-10?

In the actual state of the beta, you can still buy gems at the potion vendor npc's in act 1 to 4, related to your quest status. These gems are leveled, AFAIK limited to level 40 requirement (representing a4). Siosa's gems are all plain level 1. Act 5 has no gem vendor, and in part 2 you then have Lily in act 6 only, who also sells unleveled gems. (same as Siosa, but in town, so no issue with chuggling currency). There's no gem vendor after act 6.

I didnt get an answer on my complains on this (even more as Siosa/Lily demand the same price for their plain gems as you have to pay to the npcs in the lower acts), so I doubt there will be significant changes from this behaviour with 3.0 release. What I could imagine (but really not would want), is that Siosa gets changed, so that the access to off-class gems would be shifted to act 6.

I don't remember in which topic (it was at the begining of legacy) a GGG_member said that Siosa will not be the final way to get gem. They had other plan in the future (during act 6-10), so let's see the patch note :)

Yes they announced an (unspecified) change that should offer a way to buy gems with currency from your stash (which is actually not possible with Siosa down in the wilderness). Its not clear if Lily (as addition to him) is the final solution, or if there will be more changes (like removing Siosa as gem vendor completely). Less than 8 days until we'll know... ;)
