Karui Spirit Lost on Leap Slam?

Hey,

So I'm not sure if this is intended, or if it is just a bug, but I went into a Haku instance (untimed), and after getting the Karui Spirit, I started leap slamming back towards the entrance. Every time I use leap slam, however, it drops the karui spirit like the boss does upon death, and I have to go back to where I leap slammed from and pick it back up and continue on foot. Is this supposed to happen, or is it just a bug? It makes it very slow for me, since I get all of my movement speed from leap slamming.

It's intended, movement skills will cause yo to drop the spirit with at least one exception (cyclone)
