LOL! WTF! This is some crazy shit GGG!

So I died this morning on a tier 13 map. No big whoop, I'll just play a different build. I see the 2 week Turmoil race and since I'm board with my regular builds I join just for shits and giggles. I'm on the beach, get the shank (Assassin class), talk to the doomed to die forever exile (there was a Twilight Zone... the newer color version, where a guy was doomed to forever travel in time to disasters and die... Titanic, Lusitania, etc.). Anyway, I kill the creature while popping my life flasks, it dies, I grab the dropped item, and then this:



So like now we get booted out for drinking life flasks while attacking? Is this GGG's latest hair brain idea for making PoE races more hardcore? After all my playing from CB to now and the rare time I enter a race I get this. All I could do was sit there with a mixed humorous, astonished, numbing emotional feeling.

What next GGG? 100% reflect at race start? That's a sure fire way to guarantee that PoE is "hardcore to the max". LoL!... LOL!!... and triple LoL!!!

It's their measure against trigger macros, but funny thing, it takes quite a few actions in the span of a fraction of a second to activate. I mash my potions too sometimes even all 5 - and I've never had that rule activate on me once. Kind of makes me wonder if something strange happened that you just didn't notice. Like a stuck key on your keyboard or something.

For the record, this has been a thing for a long time.

This is easy to cause by spamming /dance in town or hideout.

I think the game has different priorities. Attack commands, flasks etc have higher threshold before activating, while /dance you are only allowed to spam couple times a second.

True. I get false positives from my anti-virus once in a great while. I just thought it was weirdly humorous (at least that's how I reacted) that all I did was kill the first creature and bam, I'm kicked. I guess I hit the life flask key too many times. Sometimes I overreact (but this is the start so there isn't any danger) or maybe I wasn't fully awake (that's why my level 83 Raider died) as I hadn't had any coffee yet so I didn't react fast enough to escape a death (sorry Fletcher).

So I was finding it humorous funny with a touch of OMG that I got kicked out of a race on the very first kill. Has to be a weird timing glitch.

We put up with lots of lag in major part to get fewer cheats and hacks that will wreck the game economy. I hate high server latency but understand it's vastly better than the mess Blizzard had with client bot farming destroying the D3 economy (I played D3 legit and got like 20 million gold and top items were selling for 100K, that's a seriously f'cked up economy).

There's really no need. It's a one-time thing. As shags mentioned days ago, it's a false positive. I've had that trigger on me once or twice before, and I wasn't even hitting any keys or anything. I think their code to catch this sort of activity is broken and buggy. Just ignore it.
