I haven't played in a few weeks, but this build was doing fine even if you're being lazy not avoiding everything (minus Chimera chaos adds). 6500 life (I have 7k at 92) with lots of phys dmg reduction, fortify, and 40/30 block should allow you to make lots of mistakes. You just have to hit every 2 sec to refresh the dot and shield charge around spamming enduring cry.

If you're too used to leeching and VP then I totally get how this build requires way too much effort to play, but like I said above there are tons of builds using VP and holding down one button and I've played them as well. I just find this way more fun, though yes I do quit after a month or so.
