Item not generating power charges (Solved)
This item, as you can see, is supposed to generate a power charge when killing a frozen enemy. It's to my understanding, that when an enemy dies while frozen he shatter to pieces right? I've been shaterring monsters all over the place I have yet to see a single, measly power charge. Now, I know it's 50% chance, but I've never even seen a single one. I mean, what's the chances of losing that 50/50 hundreds of times in a row on every map? This has to be a bug. I can upload a video or something if my word isn't enough Last edited by ianpgerman#2783 on Jul 11, 2017, 9:49:34 AM Last bumped on Jul 11, 2017, 12:24:56 PM

Hrm, wasn't aware of a bug with that item.
Would it be possible to know more about the character using it? |

" It's a Scion Crit Freezing Pulse totem build, quite low level at the moment. Is that what you wanted to know? |

"Enemies killed by totems don't generate charges for you, unless it's stated specifically. If you're already using a wand, Frenzy linked to Power Charge on Crit might be a good way to get charges. |

When your totems kill an enemy, the on-kill effects apply to them. So your totems would gain power charges, but they can’t (totems’ power charge limit is 0 because their own offensive stats don’t affect anything, only the player’s do).

Well, that seems really counter intuitive. Thanks for the responses.

It might be unintuitive at first, but it’s quite consistent. Remote skills (totems, traps, mines) use your skill (so your offensive stats are used), but they use it themselves, so on-hit, on-kill, on-crit etc. effects apply to the remote using the skill. This includes negative effects like reflected damage and Corrupted Blood from bloodline (on-kill) or nemesis (on-hit) mobs.
The exception is a long-standing issue where kills from damage over time can’t be properly attributed and are attributed to the player instead of the remote. |
