Regarding trade channels: where and what number is best?
Dear Gentlemen and possibly Ladies:
I note that I was assigned to trade channel 5 for some reason, but of course it's changeable. Is there a regional aspect to this assignment? I do trade with the Russians and Italians from time to time, so I would hate to shrink the effectiveness of my marketing. It would be nice to know what channel number links to where. Channel assignments are arbitrary and based just on which channels are full/populated. I haven't used trade chat properly in about a year, but it used to be that everyone would just try to get into trade 1 but send sale messages over the first few channels, maybe 1-10.
That said, don't use trade chat. I loved it and I miss it, but everyone has abandoned it for poe.trade now and basically all that's left are spammers and scammers. Have you done something awesome with Sire of Shards? PM me and tell me all about it! Thank you very much. That explains quite a bit. I'm on poe.trade, but I was suspecting that folks were getting disillusioned with the site because too many sellers were not responding. I've had a few folks thank me for simply responding when they whisper me through the site.

" That's because far too many douchenozzles on poe.trade are not actually interested in trading, or are using bot programs to appear online while they're at work or such so they can "adjust" (read: hike/gouge) their prices based on what was popular while they were gone, or are trying to game the market by posting super-lowball trades they never intend to honor so they can jump on other folks selling low and flip. Or? Folks are simply too douchy to respond to a trade that's "not worth their time" while they're mapping...despite being the ones who offered that trade in the first place. Still magnitudes better than trade chat, but by Grabthar's Hammer we really, truly need some sort of proper semi-automated trade system, or some other method of keeping folks within hailing distance of honest on the market.
