Glacial Cascade pvp damage reduction

Patch 2.0.0
• Glacial Cascade now deals 15% more damage in addition to the PvP scaling.

This change was not needed before 2.0 and it's sort of malicious after 3.0.
Post 3.0 GC has no problems with non-crit damage scaling. Please consider to remove that pvp damage bonus.

Bomb Specialist provides enough additional area of effect to make the skill frustrating to deal with even if miner has no AoE nodes on the tree. Please consider to rework the skill max AoE length. It's not natural that stack of GC mines able to randomly reach across other side of almost all 1v1 areas.

The 15% more pvp dmg means absolutely nothing next to the t-value interaction of GC and minefield support. It might as well be 15% less pvp dmg and you wouldn't see a difference.

Fix the t-value interaction with multihitting skills and mines/traps combined with minefield/cluster and suddenly they won't completely destroy everything with 0 investment.

My point is the 15% more damage is a simple ant next to a god damn dragon (broken pvp formula). It is fairly simple to check how much "unintended more damage" the formula gives GC mines.
"Fix pvp formula for multiple hit per action" is valid suggestion, but I think we should start slowly with "fix something that require 15min of human time resource".

I vote balancing glacial around self cast, if traps/mines are still cancer, nerf the support gems in PVP or nerf Clever Construction in PVP.

Without Clever Construction sweeping could be a thing people worry about building for, it would be more interactive.


it's not about CC, you can simply stack mine laying speed to bypass the lack of CC.
it hits too hard, i don't have time to do the calculation by using pvp T formula, but i can assure you it hits just like a truck just because lack of proper programming of poe pvp.

I understood this is what you meant. The reason I posted is because I think those 15mins would be horribly wasted and ultimately wouldn't fix anything because of the major underlying problem.
So, how you guys like the new GC jewel?
26 units base radius, full elemental conversion, +2 bursts, all of that.

Speaking of people who did this to us, are they:

I passed 30 minutes yesterday to watch a pvper in my friendlist rollstomping everyone in 1 vs 1 using GC mine. I guess he made the build recently in prevision of this patch.

Cancer aoe, auto-target and all that. Pretty sad
