Disembowel with Static Strike

Hi,
I am very new to PoE, just started my first character (Templar) last week. I love playing with Static Strike and I plan to stick to it. I have a question - will Disembowel and the other small skills around it work with Static Strike? I think it should because Static Strike is a mele attack and Disembowel states that increases mele crit, but I prefer to be sure before spending points to get there.

You are correct. The crit and crit multi nodes in the disemboweling cluster will contribute to your static strike damage. Note that you will need to build critical strike chance (through items or the skill tree) to make effective use of it.
