How do life nodes calculate?
I'm trying to work out if I should spend the next 17 levels going for the 9 life nodes that are immediately to the right of the marauder's starting point. How exactly is the 8% increased maximum health worked out?
Is it flat out added to the top of my hp? My current hp is 2700, so 2700 * 1.08 ? Or is it added to the top of my "base hp" ? What is my base hp? The hp I have before items? Or before strength is added? Basically I want to be able to figure out if it's worth me pursuing this addition hp until I'm level 86. Cheers. This thread has been automatically archived. First, all flat modifiers on gear (e.g. +90 maximum life) are added to your base life pool, which is 50 + 6/level +whatever you get from strength or flat modifiers from passives (and optionally Oak).
This life is then multiplied by the sum of your increased life modifiers: Example: 50 (base) + 300 (level 50) + 100 (200 strength) + 300 (gear) = 750 750 * [1+ 1,5 (passives) + 0,1 (gear)] = 1950 Sorry Exile, but your loot is in another dungeon!

It would be help full to see how much your base life pool is. Just saying.

" is this a typo and supposed to be * rather than / ? " if i understand right, your base health is always 50? |

From mechanics thread:
Life/mana per level All classes begin with the same base stats, and gain the same amount per level: 50 life, +6 per level " Read "6/level" as "6 per level" ;) Sorry Exile, but your loot is in another dungeon!

All % life increases are additive percentage increases
Your base life * (sum increased life passives + 1.0) If you have 500 base life and +201% increased life, it's 500 * (1.0 + 2.01) The 'base life' is a sum of your strength, flat life increases from gear/passives and a small base amount gained per level. "Bonus amount gained per level isn't *small* its smaller than itemization HP, but three times a +10HP node. IGN - PlutoChthon, Talvathir

" Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but not sure how 6hp is 3times 10hp. You get 6hp per level and that's all. A 10hp node would be better. Maybe you mean 10str, but that's still 5hp. Last edited by PyrosEien#5602 on Feb 26, 2013, 3:12:35 PM

" so my base hp from which a percentage gain from a new node is calculated, is my hp without passive skills? Last edited by CaptainShiznit#4322 on Feb 26, 2013, 6:25:26 PM
