" yup. The fact that pork is anathema for Muslims and beef is simply not touched by Hindus altogether is quite outdated though, but it's still uncommon. Also, a Japanese friend of mine says pig in Japanese is buta. Wow. Last edited by Crossflip#2982 on Feb 24, 2013, 9:05:29 PM

" Guess that's me. Outdated. I do like to see the old traditions kept alive though. Any way, nice to meet you sort of unofficially. Last edited by Eggy#1161 on Feb 24, 2013, 9:48:28 PM

" I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be grey, and bacon tastes the best when fried at home. I'm going to assume that since it was a high class hotel, they probably over-exaggerated the bacon, adding unnecessary stuff which made it taste different. candied bacon with maple syrup is the food of the gods.
for the record, I come from India, and my family is one of the few with no problems eating pork. Except my mom, who's a bit of a traditionalist. Of course, this only applies IF I can get hold of bacon, and it ain't happening here unless I visit my uncle and aunt in the USA again after my internship is finished. 1337 21gn17ur3

Had some bacon today, was great but it cost a fortune to buy... Why can't we have good things in Chennai?

My coworker cooked pancake batter cupcakes, with french toast tasting icing on top, sprinkled with bacon...
They were amazing! |
