[2.6] LL/RF Scoching Ray CwC Frostbolt Guardian

Introduction:
This is the build I just finished and in the process got to 100 with. Usually I end up getting sick of builds in the 93/94, this was the first build that was so much fun to play I was able to power through to 100 and is still fun to play.

Usually I end up going broke trying to run a RF build and move on because of all the map re-rolling. This is the first one that I didn't. I have way more regen and resist than needed. Doing so not only made it more survivable, but also allowed for running maps with mods that RF usually cannot do. I was able to do -9 max with no rf degen, same with 40% less regen. At -10 and 60% there is a small degen but Time of Need does allow them to be run. The only mod that had to be re-rolled was no regen.

I was able to do all of the guardians with very few issues, I tried but failed at Shaper but that is probably just my bad play...

Uber lab was not an issue at all

T15 - did not try Rigwald or Overgrown, rest were very easy though.

Gear:

Gear shown is much better than what was required, even with much worse gear the build works very well.

Uses a Doryani's for damage and leech.


Using a Legacy RotP, regular will work fine just need more res's elsewhere.


Heretic's Veil for blasphemy and 12% reduced reservation.


Shav's for LL, does not have to be +1 gems and starting could be Solaris Lorica.


Delirium rare gloves, starting I just used regular es gloves.


Rare high es boots to fill res's etc.


Rare Crystal Belt for Res/ES, I like Spite crafted ones for the Int


First ring is important to get an unset with +2 (lvl 21 purity of fire) or +3 (lvl 20 purity of fire) level to gems, this gets us to lvl 23 PoF and +5 max res.


Second ring can be anything I used an opal but started with a two-stone. One thing that is needed on one of the rings is 50+ dex for gems.


Currently have a Presence, Eye also works to start just for the stun

Green Nightmare (Nightmare is probably not needed dream would work but does add a nice layer of dodge) to get frenzy charges by the Marauder. Could use a damage/es jewel.

Conqueror Eff & Potency, Eff is to allow more auras, potency to get 1% more max res from Purity of Fire.

Energy from Within by melding

I have 2 Frozen Trail jewels to get "free" GMP, in the scion jewels. During lvling I used the jewel slot by MoM to get it earlier.

The last jewel can just be damage/es or Energy From Within, in the MoM jewel.

Note: It is avg dmg, with CwC lvl 22 it end up being just under 162k tooltip before Wise Oak or Curses

Est. Damage from Path of Building:
Frostbolt - 400,588.2 DPS (4 stage SR) + 392,229.3 ignite
Scorching Ray (4 stages) - 121,922.3 DoT
RF - 173,837.6 DoT
Total - ~1,088,000 max dmg (1,216,000 max dmg on crit ignite)

It is possible to make the DPS much higher with Elemental Overload but I found I was killing the shaped strand bosses before it ever proc'ed most times with only 5% Crit Chance. So I opt'ed other points (at the time Ghost Reaver).
With EO the est total is:
~1,643,000 max dmg

Time of Need - The 30% regen or es every 5 seconds really helps
Radiant Faith - Big armor and ES Boost around the middle of Cruel
Unwavering Faith - Nice regen and phy dmg reduction
Last two point I took two minor nodes for extra %es/%armor but any of the 3 could work

how do you get 5 projectiles on frostbolt?
The Frozen Trail jewels give 2 extra proj each.
So how exactly did you not go broke doing this build over others? :P

I would like to see a video of this, even if it is a quick 3 minute shaped strand or something.

This was my third or forth build and pretty much had all the gear pre-bought before starting (not the +1 shavs but a 6L). Not sure why but it is a very satisfying build to play being able to use RF close and Frostbolt ranged. If you want a few prices I listed them at the end for the stuff I now what I paid.

I have added a video of 3 maps. Full sextents, double beyond, and mod selection that rf sometimes has issues with like minus max and shocked ground.

Didn't really rush much so no speed records where even close to set.

+1 Shavs - 78ex+ ~50c to color
unset +3 fire - 7ex
Boots - 25c + 2 divines (very early league)
Gloves - 30c (took a chance on these they were 140es but the range was either top T2 or low T1 after divine was happy)
Belt - 20c and 5 deafening of spite to craft
Wise Oak - found
Dying Sun - 5ex
Opal - found crafted with dex essence
Catalyst - found and divined
Heretic's Veil - 40c with enchant
Rise of the Phoenix - 30c
Presence - Bought blessing for 300c
Energy from Within - 5c (about 6hrs into league before rarity change known)
Green Nightmare - 50c for dream, found blessing
Gems - Pretty much all were self corrupted to 21 (including empower) there is a lot of gem exp from 90 to 100. CD was the only on in the 6L I bought after about 15 failed vaals.

So ~100ex before gems are even accounted for.

Been on Beta so took a bit to redownload non beta to make a video sorry it took so long.
