[3.0] The Azure Knight (Flurry/Frost Blades/Multi-class/Budget/Crit/Life/Conversion) Shaper/Uber

I think I made a mock up tree with the pastebin for Path of Building, but I can convert it to the usual online tree after work (gonna start soon so no earlier then in 10 hours).

At the moment crit multi is getting nerfed on more then just abyssus, which means that both Occultist and Assassin version might lose a lot of power, depends on final changes. Abyssus is still going to be the best dps option, but I might need to run a few maps with Starkonja to see if the dps increase is still worth it. On the other hand, boss hp is getting buffed and I didn't have the time to play beta - that additional dps, even if lowered, might still be enough to burst them down in one or two flask uses.
It's hard for me to recommend it without playing 3.0 yet.

I'm leaning towards Berserker as the best option based on current beta changes, since even without charges and low crit still has the most dps and easiest pathing to life nodes.
I might be a bit weird but even then I might roll as an occultist just for the flavour :)

Also, do you have a mock up tree for berserker?

Marauder tree for lvl 88 or so.
Some small changes here and there might be better, depends on the variation and items, for example the tree alone nets you 116 Intelligence, which isn't enough for all the gems, but can be easily fixed with items or taking just one +30 Int node.

When 3.0 is released, I'm going to make a big update of the guide - who knows, there might be new items/gems/passive nodes that are better then what we already had in 2.6.

With new changes being revealed every few days it iss hard to keep the thread 100% up to date with new information, especially since not every beta change might end up final.

Also, added a few videos - Minotaur, Chimera, Hydra and Shaper.

Looks like this build will have very nice 3.0 potential.
I've found your PoB codes in your long post on page 2 - I suggest you make a section in your main guide for PoB pastebin links. It is so much easier to see how a build performs when imported in it.

I'll be interested in whether we'll be able to chill/freeze bosses with the removal of boss ailment immunity in 3.0. There is considerable cold dmg in this build that could potentially do it. Was thinking of dropping elemental focus and adding in hypothermia in its place (about 10% less dmg) and run frostbite as 2nd curse (as occultist) and make bosses perhaps way safer.

I'm patiently waiting for 3.0 immunity news myself. Frostbite/Ele Weakness curses, Hypothermia instead of Ele Focus and possibly Pandemonius amulet (or even Halcyon) would synergize very well.
Maybe even pathing to Fingers of Frost (+Power charge and jewel on the way there), but this one I'm unsure of because of how the tree is already streched out.

With defensive aspects of Freeze/Chill, Enfeeble wouldn't be missed as much.
Waiting for those patch notes :P

i got almost same stats as author on pob already just few more hp needed, only problem is,

how to deal with rare reflects? i keep 1 shotting myself on rare reflects while mapping >.<

EDIT: that goes even with sibyl's ring, taste of hate active, still one shot =/

EDIT 2: even when i replaced abyssus with starkonja, only pop taste of hate and diamond flask while mapping, i still randomly die against rare reflects =/

I found the best way to deal with random rares is to slow down. Click once on them instead of holding attack, and see if your hp is taking too much damage. Lure other monsters to the vicinity of it, so that you also leech from regular monsters with each single attack, it helps a lot. And lastly, make sure your blood rage is on, additional leech will replenish your hp after suffering damage.

If you run out of other monsters to leech from and rare is still alive, you have 3 options:
- skip the rare.
- lue more regular monsters to attack them along with the rare
- use Warchief totem to kill it off.

Most of the time if you don't build up your blade flurry stacks, you shouldn't die outright, and hopefully Profane Bloom explosions will kill the reflect rare for you :)

Only things that can spoil yourfull deathless map run are reflect essence monsters which have a lot of hp, or if you don't notice the visual of a reflect mod and release full 6 stage attack on it - happens to me as well if I don't pay attention.

Hope that even though kamikaze on a reflected rares can happen, you enjoy the build :)

i barely stack up on my blade flurry stages while mapping since they die too fast anyway. sadly, in those 1-2 stacks/hits, that's when i get 1 shotted. i only get away with it when i dodge it(which doesnt/didnt happen like 80% of the time).

i did try to lure some mobs back to the rare reflect and still same result, i barely pop essence mobs anymore coz those are a bish too.

i have enjoyed this build, seriously. its just this issue that's wrecking things. even tried chimera at 79 and was a breeze, basically all things are easy, just reflects =/

I'm glad you liked it anyway. Tackling Chimera at level 79 sounds ballsy, most people are usually suspicious if they ask on /820 for help with Shaper/Guardians and see my 87-90 lvl characters coming to help :D

I had a little look around in my videos, can't really tell for sure in some of them if the rares reflect elemental or physical, as I don't usually namelock them. However, there is one example I found:

That was before I learned how to restrict myself and click on them instead of holding for half a second or so. Granted, that wasn't with fully leveled 20/20 gems or a rare claw, but it shouldn't make that much of a difference.

I really don't know why our experiences are so different, but I never have much problems with random reflect rares, unless I'm careless and release full 6th stage flurry on them or something :p

Added some 3.0 beta videos, of how strong the build is when leveling. Ofc, keep in mind it is not spoiler free.

Not all bosses included, some of the boss fight vids I had to delete because of quality or lagspikes/freezes, making it unbearable to watch.

Playing "SSF" in beta, only one trade (sold some rare 4L for 5 Alteration).

Hi

I'm still learning this how to play this game.

Critical Multiplier how many points will be needed.
Inc. critical Strike chance how many points will needed.

Inc. Critical Strike chance with Claws. Do the above one have something in common. Or only applicable to claws.

Critical builds always bamboozle me. To many Critical.....something's and meaning different things.

Hope I explained myself. I just need numbers. Don't bother on calculations.
