4k resolution and Fullscreen Mode

Hey guys,
i have the problem that i can not keep the settings mentioned in the title.
when i "apply" them, then the button to keep those settings is unclickable. after 10 seconds it switches then back to previous settings. but i really would like to take advantage of my 4k TV. :/
any ideas how to solve that?
cheers

1.) What's the TV/monitor's make and model

2.) How are you connecting the TV/monitor to your computer? HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, etc.

3.) And to get an idea of what video card you have, drivers, and system configuration: Please run DXDiag for system info. Use a service such as http://pastebin.com to copy and paste your info, then link it here. Guide: http://tinyurl.com/dxdiag-info-guide.

Hey there,

So first of all, Cipher is attempting to troubleshoot things the proper way, and you might want to do so. If you do - that's totally fine! However I do occasionally like to cheat...

There's a file located in Documents\My Games\Path of Exile called production_Config.ini which stores your Path of Exile settings. When the game's settings are changed, it updates that file. And when it first runs, it reads that file to know which settings to use. You can edit this file with Notepad++ (regular Notepad will do) and change the settings there directly.

The relevant settings would be;
  • borderless_windowed_fullscreen
  • fullscreen
  • resolution_height
  • resolution_width

Here's my production_Config.ini in Notepad++ as an example of what to expect;

Some advice I'd give is to copy the file before you start, and call the copy old_settings.ini or something similar. This means if you ever have a problem, you can delete the file and rename the copy. Also, make sure the game client isn't running while you edit the file.
