Isn't the Regal orb supposed to add an affix?
Hello everyone, I'm new to Crafting and trying to figure something out here. So, I alted until I had two t1 bases, then I augmented for a 3rd affix. I was happy then I used a Regal orb to gain another affix and ti make it rare, well to my disappointment my affixed stayed the same and it just made the item rare nothing added. So, what happen here what did I do wrong if anything. I was hoping for a good roll from Regal but instead I wasted it.

it added something that stacked with existing affixes, like accuracy, stun recovery, or mana ..

Augments cannot add a third affix... Blues can only have 1 prefix and 1 suffix. Some affixes can be multiple lines of text (like hybrid affixes that include both % ES and Stun recovery. It is a single affix, but appears as two lines of text). Each of the components of this hybrid affix can also roll as an affix by themselves as well. So using that information you could theoretically have an item that has two lines of text, but has 3 affixes (% ES, Stun recovery, and hybrid Es/Stun recovery, which would only appear as two lines of text).
U MAD?

Ok ty for fast replies. It could have stacked with one of the affix, but to my knowledge nothing changed still had the 3 lines 2 affixed after the Regal. If i wanted to fix this and add more lines what would be the next step, ex it?

Yes, but I'm gonna bet that the item in question would be a waste of an exalt :P
Generally I would suggest that players have a pretty solid understanding of how items roll affixes, affix tiers, etc. before trying to craft. Otherwise it will end up in a lot of salt, a lot of frustration, and a lot of wasted currency. U MAD?

regal always adds affix to magic item. Ive never heard of any bug of that sort. certainly stacked with something, probably with something too tiny to be easily noticeable. you can see the affix list here
exalting is advanced method of crafting, used on items with "best" affixes on good base. you have to be very lucky to get something you want. Most of the time, when regaling turns into something good enough but not super great, you just add master craft and are done. like this item, which I dont consider good enough to exalt but I still use it IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator#6587 on May 4, 2017, 2:12:29 PM

" In theory the next step would be using an ex BUT only do it if the item is already great because you can buy amazing things for 1ex. German saying: Schönheit und Funktionalität in Sekundenschnelle zu ruinieren, ist dem wahren Dilettanten keine Herausforderung!

Not saying I am going to do it. Just curious how it works. It's i84 item and had a t1 fire res and a high energy shield roll now it could have the stun as that 3rd line but if so I know it was a high roll hybrid ill take a look tonight. Thanks. PS one side note if it's a chest piece with only one es roll after Regal what would be highest the chest would be with only one t1 es roll? Whether it's %es, +es, or hybrid es% stun?

when regal fails, in your case not giving you good second ES prefix, the typical approach is to scour the item and start again, and again, and again..
