Leggings Item Slot TBA?

Is this ever going to be added? I know the reasoning for not having it was that it reduced work load, but I think that for later expansions, maybe two years or so, this would be a nice item to introduce to the game.

As a cosmetic item, very likely.

As an added armour, not so likely. The system has been balanced around the current amount of armour, if another set was to be added, all other armour would have to be nerfed to compensate for the additional stats.

I think the devs have mentioned that leggings/pants are also just... boring as an item slot. I mean, seriously - aside from novelty/joke ideas, what compelling ideas can you think of for pants item types? Unique pants? How many of those couldn't be implemented as a chest piece or boots? It would just be another armor slot for the sake of having another armor slot.

Also, the art is already done for all the character and armor models with pants as part of the body armor model, not as a separate piece. That's a lot of added work to implement pants in a way that doesn't appear extremely lazy and tacked on.

The reason they didn't add pants was because another item slot was just superfluous at that point. All it did was just reduce the others in effectiveness and was basically the same in the end.
Also, they wanted everyone to see the Templar pantless all game.

no.. you just have to adjust the mobs thats it :3

They could add pants that roll similar to how belts are. No base armor/es/ev and no sockets. It would be interesting, similar to even if rings were half as strong as they are now, but you could equip more of them.
