Playing hardcore and standard
" There is no difference in the game itself. But I have found groups to be much better later game on Hardcore. Simply because you aren't with anyone who facerolled their way through everything dying over and over. Much less any AFK'ers. Also feels like more of an accomplishment imo. My first char I got to 50, dying 10 times on a boss and just portal'ing back to finish him off. Not much of a way to play. And it got boring after a while with no real threat on my character if I just ran around murdering packs without thinking. |

@Asonex That's a really good point to be honest it wouldn't be much fun teleporting in and out to kill the boss, but I've done this before on hardcore to survive without no pots left :p

" Well yeah, but you do it different than us softcore players. I drop a portal when I hit a boss's room but I don't run to it before I die. I just try and squeeze out a little more dmg, die, and run to my portal and drop another as soon as I arrive. :-P Please familiarize yourself with the Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory (GIFT) - http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2004/03/19

I suppose the only negative aspect to rolling hardcore and dying a lot is the repetitiveness of the maps and stuff as most of the places are in the same location.

" Yea, and us hardcore players risk dying in the portal if we try to abuse it that way as well. Have to take the time to kite the boss away from the portal and whatnot. Much less getting one shot or murdered quickly. |
|
" This also isn't too bad. Just make sure you put all your Orbs in the stash and you will be gaining that if nothing else. Hell, I usually get more orb drops 1-20 than any other time anyway. |
