[2.6] Pathfinder Kinetic Blast Miner / Insane Endgame Mapping

Build is dead

This is a build made for endgame mapping, in particular speed farming Shaped Shores as fast as possible. It works well solo but really shines when played alongside a support.

If you want to check out the build I'll be playing it on Norse's stream 6-10 hours a day, feel free to ask any questions there: Norse_TV

Passives

There's a few trees depending on how you specialise you build.

The basic endgame tree:
Lvl 95

Build for the Skyforths version with a little extra mana:
Lvl 95

If you want to do the build as a Saboteur because you don't have a Dying Sun it would be something like this but I haven't fully refined it:
Lvl 94

Links

Kinetic Blast:

Kinetic Blast - Remote Mine - Mine Field - GMP - WED - Pierce

Drop Pierce if you only have a 5 link. If you feel like your damage isn't high enough you can swap Pierce out for either Added Cold or Lightning. Pierce is only really needed when doing maps with very high density.

Vaal Gems:

Vaal Clarity - Vaal Discipline - Increased Duration - Faster Casting

Vaal Clarity is extremely important for the build and needs to be up almost all the time. Vaal Disc is for emergency situations.

Auras:

Discipline - Enlighten - Wrath/Blasphemy + Temporal Chains

Whether you use Temp Chains or Wrath is dependant on your damage. Use wrath while your damage is on the lower end and Temp chains when you have enough damage from gear or if you're playing with a support. Temp chains on CWDT is needed if you run wrath.

CWDT:

CWDT - Immortal Call - Increased Duration

Utility:

Flame Dash - Faster Casting - Ice Golem

Detonate Mines - Spell Totem

Detonate Mine Totem is for single target situations so you can just spam mines without needing to detonate manually. You have a couple open slots for your own choice of gems.

Gear

Weapon:

Look for Prophecy Wand with high Elemental Damage rolls. We use a Prophecy wand due to having the highest crit chance and attack speed not being relevant in a mine build.
Priority on your weapon is Cold Damage > Lightning Damage > Crit Multi > Crit Chance > Fire Damage.

Shield:

If your gear is good enough you definitely want to use Lycosidea for the Hits can't be evaded mod. This is one of the biggest DPS increases you can get and will allow you to forgo Accuracy on the rest of your gear. If you can't use this a high ES shield will work.

Chest:

Just want the highest ES chest you can get your hand on.

Helmet:

Try to get a Hubris with Chance for additional explosion Kinetic Blast enchant and highest ES you can.

Boots:

There's a few options here. The cheap option is just Sorcerer Boots with a good enchant, high Energy Shield and good Movement Speed. The endgame option is Skyforths which free up a ring slot but it is completely unnecessary.

Rings:

Opal or Diamond rings are the best but any ring works. If you are using Choir of the Storm, look for Topaz rings as they will be superior to Diamond. Unless you are using Skyforths you will need a Valyrium as one of your rings. You want high flat Elemental Damage with high resists and ES%.

Amulet:

Getting maximum damage out of your Amulet is important. High Elemental Damage, Crit Multi, WED, Resists and ES% are all important. You will likely need to find some Strength here too. Voice or Choir of the Storm are both options if you have exceptionally high resist or are playing with a support.

Belt:

Crystal Belt with high ES, WED, Resists and most importantly you want to craft Mine Placement Speed.

Gloves:

Again just go for the highest ES possible with resists.

Jewels:

There's not much available for Jewels but they can be very cheap due to how niche the build is.
Mine Damage, Mine Laying Speed, Area Damage, Crit Multi, Projectile Damage, Energy Shield and Resists are what you're after. Use an Energy from Within under Melding if you want more ES.

Flasks:

Dying Sun and a Diamond Flask are required but other than that you can use whatever flask you want. You will likely need a Mana Flask as well.

Bandits

Normal: Passive
Cruel: Passive
Merciless: Power Charge

I'll go into some of the more in depth information here. Read all of this before you do the build to get the most out of it.

Stuff

Boots Enchant:

Boot enchants are extremely important to this build and give a massive boost to damage. The preferred boots enchants depend on the version of the build you are doing. The enchants that give bonuses when you haven't killed recently are permanently active as Mines don't count as you doing the killing. Make sure you don't any other abilities that may end up getting kills for you.

For the basic version of the build without Choir of the Storm you definitely want to get the 120% crit chance if you haven't killed recently.

For the version with Choir of the Storm you will want to get either 1-120 Lightning Damage if you haven't killed recently while solo or 10% Elemental Penetration if you haven't killed recently when running with a support.

Choir of the Storm:

Choir of the Storm is the ultimate endgame Amulet and allows us to go from 60%~ crit chance with charges to 80-95% crit chance depending on gear while also dropping a Diamond Flask and use a more flexible boot enchantment. I'd only recommend using it if you can get your resists over 200% without Wise Oak up and no support. Once you add on a support you will have permanent capped crit chance which is a huge damage boost.

Voice of the Storm achieves almost the same results but is less restrictive on gear.

The Wise Oak:

This flask is insane because it gives me 30% Penetration and gives 15% damage reduction for all elements but requires you to make some massive adjustments to make it work optimally because Dying Sun gives such a significant Fire Resist boost. It is one of the biggest DPS increases you will get on the build and is a must if you are running the Choir of the Storm version of the build.

On a more budget version it is fine to over cap lightning significantly to only penetrate Lightning Damage while focusing on Lightning Damage rolls on gear. In the endgame, especially when running with a support, you will want to make all resists even with the exception of Fire Resist which will need to be exactly 75% lower than the others to account for Dying Sun. Crafted resists on multiple pieces of gear and resists on Jewels make this much easier to achieve.

Skyforths vs Valyrium:

Skyforths are an option for endgame but are for the most part a waste of currency and only provide a small bonus to the build. They require a slight change to the tree to get more mana but free up a ring slot for more damage and an easier time capping resists for Wise Oak and Voice of the Storm. This is one of the last upgrades you will make to the build. It also allows the option to drop your Mana Flask for something else due to the significant mana pool incrase.

Mantra of Flames:

Only use this if you are playing with either a Support or a Headhunter as it supplies an incredible DPS boost with either of those.

Sorry for being slow at updating as I've been taking a short break after hitting level 100. I'll be completing this guide over the following week but I'm happy to answer any questions you might have.

Thank you dude, was waiting for this build and it really works great! :-)
finally, already leveled my pathfinder to 92 after i saw you and norse blasting through shores. awesome build.

i have some questions though: im mostly playing solo and was thinking about going low life since wander scales so well with it. i would like to drop the shield for prism guardian (i know it will be hella expensive).

do you think its possible to play the build with choir of storm + purity / wise oak + prism guardian?

would the accuracy i get from 2 rings / gloves be enough to make up for the loss?

Going lowlife with Prism Guardian will leave you with scarily low ES values but if you can break 9k ES or so I guess it would work. You would need to drop damage on the tree for Accuracy and more ES. I would guess the damage gained from going low life would more than make up for it. The only real problem would be getting enough Accuracy to make it work. Pathing past Depth Perception and getting the first node in Wandslinger might be enough with good Accuracy on gear though.

Get back to me if it works as I did consider trying lowlife initially but ended up playing with a support full time.
wanted to make a miner on the side of my main in SSF you think this build would be good in SSF (not only solo but limited to what you find and can't buy GG gear) ?

Definitely wouldn't recommend this build for SSF unless you somehow got your hands on all the required gear.
but leveling progress is just awful? any recommend bros?
Looking to level this build. Any tips? Should I just level using these skills, or doesn't it "turn on" until later levels.

Thanks for posting this cool build though!

Level with any skill you want until level 30. After that the easiest way to level is to get a Doomfletch and 2 Warden's Brand along with any flat Phys you can get on gear. Upgrading to Doomfletch Prism/Drillneck at level 40 is when you become a god and literally won't have to change your gear until level 70. Rush Clever Construction and Volatile Mines.

Lightning Arrow - LMP/GMP - Remote Mine - Minefield - WED - Pierce.

Swap LA for Barrage vs Bosses for quick boss kills.

I'll do a full level guide tomorrow as the Bow Mines setup is insanely quick if done correctly.
Thanks for the build, ill go try that.
