1. Introduction

There is no Crit Fireball guide in forums for 2.6, since I'm leveling one and while doing research found a lot of people with problems, I will put what I came up with here. It's Mathil build, videos here: https://youtu.be/Igfjyzb-F_M and https://youtu.be/-q3f9pKXPe4.

4. Skill Gems

Gem setup, not sure on Fireball links yet, gonna follow Mathil and see what happens.


5. Gear

You need 111 STR and DEX for support gems.

With Infernal Mantle, Doryani's Catalyst and maybe Eye of Chayula/Valyrium/Skyforth, Dream Fragments, Auxium, Dying Sun.

6. Leveling

Normal
I reached cruel at level 42, after that did normal Labyrinth. Went for all life nodes near my end tree, planning to respec to CI nearby level 69. Leveling with Magma Orb Spell Totem + Firestorm. Current passive tree. Current gear:

Cruel
Ditched Firestorm for Fireball, was mostly using Magma Orb Spell Totem though, till something like level 50, when I linked Controled Destruction and LMP to Fireball and it got better, way better at a 5 link (Controled Destruction, LMP, Fire Pen and Increased Area). Really dependent on mana flask while using Fireball, even at 4 link. I reached merciless at level 58, after that did cruel Labyrinth. Then grabed Beacon of Ruin, that speed things up by a huge margin. Current passive tree (lvl60). Current gear:

Merciless
Entire Meciless with the same gear from end of Cruel, just updated flasks, was missing like 10% fire resistence. Grabed Tasuni skill point, gonna go for some maps to grab 69 and convert to CI. Still missing Merciless lab, gonna go for Paragon of Calamity first. Current passive tree (lvl68).

Nice guide! I was having some trouble leveling this build as it was my first CI character and this helped me a lot.
I just can't find where you put the second Rolling Flames jewel, the only socket with 40 int in radius i found is the one near Elemental Equilibrium.
