Pale court prophecy chains

I was still bothering doing those prophecies but now I decided I'll just join the area and leave.
If it was on high tier maps at least it'd be fun and not such a waste of time like it now is having to waste time on low level areas that won't drop anything good and even drop level restricted leaguestones.
Especially Unbearable Whispers II is just horrendously frustrating having to search the Sceptre of God through 3 areas fragmented by chambers with doors.

It's just sad to me how bad the current state is of the Council items, it used to be a good alternative for players that had created a build that wasn't good or needed an expensive item which made them require to grind currency.
If you can only run up to T8 maps until you had your Shavronne's Wrappings or whatever you needed, you had an alternative to just do the Pale Court prophecy chains.
Now there's nothing.

Yeah, and the ones of You will kill X while wearing a Leafshield are crap as well. I do like the unique sink one of exchanging 5:1, that should just be a vendor receipt.
Same here. Prophecies need to all be achievable in maps.
What these prophecies need is the ones that have objectives in the labyrinth to have those removed from there and put elsewhere. Simple and very effective solution.

I think the prophecy chains were partly made to promote discovering locations you might skip.
Any prophecies that involve anything beyond the eternal lab could've been made with that objective in mind, to promote further progression in merciless to act 4 Malachai.
So if they could trigger on maps they'd lose that purpose, so GGG probably won't change it to that.

To maintain the prohecies their purpose of promoting further progressing and not just go to maps as soon as you can, an alternative would be that GGG could give a new incentive to do the prophecy chains.
I think it'd be a good idea to add an increased chance or guaranteed drop for a reliquary key for this league to fix the problem of it being pretty much pointless game content now and buff a few council items when the new league starts.

I don't see any reason to bother with those anymore since the bow got gutted so hard it's beyond mediocre.

I can't think of any Prophecies I've received that aren't either
1) cancellable in 5 seconds
2) completeable in maps
3) resource-based (e.g. the 1 chisel for 20% q prophecy)
on my level 80+ characters.

Can you identify which Prophecies you've received which are not achievable in Maps? Or does it bother you that you have to cancel some Prophecies if you want to stay Mapping? I've found that with a decent build, the "cancellable in 5 seconds" tend to also be completeable within 2 minutes, which doesn't bother me at all, personally.

For the first one you mean the killing of a Rare, yes? That can be completed in Maps just fine.

Fair point on the second one though, not everyone wants to spend 3 minutes to generate 3 chaos of value.

I happened to get lucky and have it in my very first Ramparts Map.

In any case, the system is working as intended. In the immortal words of Chris Wilson, the "laziness tax" is there if you aren't patient enough to let Prophecies run their course naturally or spend a few minutes hunting.
