Labyrinth - Divine Font

So I just beat the labyrinth for the first time, and I'm looking at the divine font, and wondering "how" I should use it or "how" it works...

So, I have a nice pair of gloves, that I love and I don't want to ruin them. If I use the divine font, does it replace any of the bonuses or properties that the gloves already have? (I'm in normal difficulty if thats not already obvious), and is there any way to PICK which enchantment I get or is it totally random?

Yes - but not for you. (I.e., the practical answer for you is "No.")

Lab Enchantments occupy the "Implicit" slot on an item, which is the one-line section between stat requirements and magical modifiers. However, it is not possible for enchantable (i.e. not Corrupted) gloves to have an implicit that is not another enchantment at your level; the Spiked Gloves basetype with implicit melee damage doesn't drop until higher Maps (Merciless difficulty).

If you haven't already enchanted your gloves and are using Normal-difficulty equipment, it will not delete any of your item's existing modifiers. Of course, if you run it again, the new enchantment would overwrite your old one.

The only way it could "ruin" your gloves is by increasing the level requirement, which would make it harder for you to use on different characters.
