The famous no answering question's GGG
The following question was asked and answered below.
"Are there any completely undiscovered/unknown recipes or vendor secrets? What about vendor recipes that only a select few have ever used and are not public knowledge?" ""Nowadays, the amount of secret information there is limited. In the past, it was fascinating to see what would happen as people found vendor recipes and kept the knowledge to a select few people. We will likely add more vendor recipes in the future so that people have a lot more to hunt for!"" So pretty much they never answered the question, and redirected the attention to possibly adding more "recipes" but not in fact stating yes or no if there are any recipes undiscovered and thats because their is still a few out there. One related to fishing, and one with exalted orbs BUT when anyone brings this up, people point fingers and laugh that its not true or say to just vendor a mirror. I really wish I could get a group of liked minded people to figure these out. Last bumped on Apr 3, 2017, 7:57:19 PM

I was thinking about making a thread about this too.
I would've respected a "yes", a "no" and even "we don't want to reveal that;)", but this half-arsed excuse for an answer isn't helping anyone. It's stupid. Nothing more. Maybe less. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" My first thought, too. But then I kept thinking; in what universe is this boring, lame excuse of an answer better than just plain out telling everyone that they don't want to reveal that? This answer creates no suspense. No smiles. No "hunt" for recipes. Just... Resignation... Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Pretty much how I feel, I don't care to try. I've been trying to figure out stuff for about a year and I even made a thread about two months ago to try and figure stuff out but a majority of the community laughs at you or say everything has been found and tries to act like GGG admitted that all recipes have been found and posted. This latest response yet again says otherwise but people choose to not want to bother looking. I also believe some people know what recipes are out there and try to deter it, I mean I was reading about fishing stuff and their is someone out there (wont say any names because we know what that does) that you will be banned from GGG for posting anything helpful!? Like really? What kind of crap is this, so if I did find out the secret I will get banned for sharing? Yet again, this deter's the community to not want to bother.

I feel like it was purely to "keep it interesting" - in other words: "there are no currently undiscovered recipes but we don't want to stop people from flinging random combinations of stuff in the vendor box".
But the addition of new recipes intrigues me, as it was supposed to. Either we get an exalt recipe or new currency. |

" I mean you could be right, but it just get's tiring and boring. |

" No, not really. Fishing is an easter egg. At this point it's a meme and people like joking about it. I don't see the harm in that, and you seem to be taking whatever was said way too seriously. I can't help that complaint affecting how I see your response to Chris's answer. Even if you insist on believing that fishing is possible, you could at least understand that the other player you allude to doesn't agree and wasn't being serious when they said... whatever it is they said. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a vendor recipe not commonly known about, because one could be silently added at any time. I don't know of anyone who exhaustively tests dozens of potential recipes after every patch - I sure don't - and it's cool if you're passionate about discovering the game's secrets. But if you get angry at other players joking about a video game... "VPs are not required to change their posting style. They are still welcome to express their opinions and take part in any discussions they wish. Their only responsibility is to continue doing what they have always done - posting in a friendly and constructive manner."

" I believe you're taking what I say a bit too extreme. I'm not mad about players joking, I'm upset because this particular person is a person of power in GGG or the game period. It wasn't just some "player" this particular person is a moderator, and when choosing to abuse power to keep things a secret is going too far. If you would research the subject, then you will figure out who I'm referring to. This person is usually in most threads pertaining to fishing, and also on reddit but most of it is on reddit. I remember linking something in global about getting a fairgrave helmet and I can now attempt to get a fishing rod. I got a whisper to "stfu or I will get banned," then I got another whisper to SHHHH you will get banned if you continue to talk and leak info. Regardless if it's a joke, that's going too far and thus the joke isn't just a "simple" joke anymore. As to Chris's answer again, it would be nice to just finally get a yes or no answer and just end all of this blasphemy. |

idk to me, this quote
" it sounds like EVERYTHING IS KNOWN!!! FISHING / KRILLSON / FEATHER IS BULLSHIT!!!!! ITS OFFICIAL!!! in diablo 2 there was the chat gem, and the devs kept people wondering.. but recently.. (at GDC? i think ?? ) one of the devs came clean and said something like "we were planning for it to have some kinda chat functionality, but then we scrapped it, but left it as a kooky easter egg... it does NOTHING!" .. he said it does NOTHING wtb feathers 1 alch! (really, ill buy em for 1 alch) ... AND SERIOUSLY!!!! with a bunch of secret stuff being such a big part of the game!! (recipes included) HOW ARE PLAYERS supposed to know!!?? - what is an exploit? and what is a "kooky hidden mechanic" !!?? how can they ban for exploiting!!!?? .. UNLESS!! they are NOOBLET GAME DESIGNERS!!! lul Last edited by CaoMengde#7666 on Apr 3, 2017, 3:09:20 PM

I don't get what's wrong with the answer at all. It sounded exactly like it should - there may or may not be secrets left, but that information is itself secret, and GGG enjoys dribbling these things out there for folks to discover and may do so again in the future. GGG likes watching players
People who hunt secrets for their jollies don't terribly like being handed those secrets, eh? She/Her
