Path of Exile Crash, CPU usage spikes and game crashes.

Recently i have started playing POE and ever since i would get random crashes, it didn't bother me at first but it is happening a lot now and getting annoying.

I checked task manager and when the game is running fine the usage is around 20% doing fine, the memory and disk are also fine.

When i crash i checked the usage and the CPU drops to 10% then spikes to 70-100%, which i am assuming is when my game crashes. An error message saying POE is not responding comes up and the only thing i can do is choose to close it.

Please help me, i am really enjoying this game!!! :)

Some troubleshooting steps...

1.) Try disabling multi-threading in the options within the client and test for a while.

2.) Please perform a pack check on your client. Guide: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/18531.

If those don't help...

3.) Please run DXDiag for system info. Use a service such as http://pastebin.com to copy and paste your info, then link it here. Guide: http://tinyurl.com/dxdiag-info-guide.

Thanks for a reply, tried engine threading on and off and the problem stays the same, i will do the other options and get back to you if it doesn't work.

Some things to try based on your DXDiag...

1.) Make sure you perform all important Windows updates. This should be automatic in Windows 10, but check to make sure your system is receiving updates.

2.) Your AMD graphics driver is ok, but not the latest. Upgrade that from AMD directly.

3.) Same with your sound driver.

4.) There are no chipset drivers installed, so Windows is using its default drivers by Microsoft. Get these from AMD directly

Your system has experienced other crashes as well. It's not just PoE that's crashing, but League of Legends as well. Worse, you're getting BSoDs (BlueScreen), so you have a serious issues on that system...

I'd troubleshoot to narrow down what's wrong with your hardware or operating system/drivers...

1.) Use Memtest86 to boot your system and perform a memory test. You can use the flash drive or CD/ISO boot methods.

2.) Download and install Prime95 and FurMark. Run both at the same time to test (Prime95 first, then FurMark). Perform an in-place, large FFT "just stress testing" test in Prime95, and a custom test at max settings with your native resolution for FurMark. Run these tests for a solid 2 hours. If your system crashes, it's absolutely not stable, so run each separately to narrow down if it's related to your CPU/motherboard or GPU. Another possibility for crashing is inadequate power supply due to capacitor aging over time, but that's usually a hard crash, as in power down or hard reboot.

I don't have the full version of windows 10, i have a free version and still need to activate the full version, do u think that could be the problem?

That shouldn't be related. I'd focus on making your drivers/hardware stable right now.

So far, after updating my AMD graphics driver, i haven't crashed at all and if anything it has been running faster. I don' want to say it's fixed yet because i have only played it for an hour.

If you still do crash later, and this driver update made time between crashes a little longer than before, then I'd go into your AMD Crimson/Control Panel and tweak settings. You can research on the forums for what worked well for other AMD users.
