Hardcore as well!

Curious for me though: Are you able to gather good ES gears to run an ES character on HC SSF?

Farm and ye shall find.

Really never knew that option to transfer things out of SSF.

In fact knowing that made me completely lose interest about trying SSF.

Why? You can't get anything into SSF, just out of it. So the experience of playing SSF is the same as if the option didn't exist.

My first mirror, I would keep. There's this ugly empty spot in my stash tab that needs filling. The second (as if) I would probably vendor - or transfer to std in order to fill that empty spot.

You are missing my point! I exactly want to play SSF for the feeling of being punished that there is not a single backdoor for me to retreat into the comfort zone of standard.

You see, if there is someone who plays both standard and SSF, then a mirror drop still contributes to his overall 'happiness'

I want other as well as myself to be punished for our own choice. That is what I like about SSF.

I still do not think that justifies trying to play SSF with a designated build in mind just because you know that eye of chayula will eventually drop. You still need to keep an open mind to be flexible with build choices in case it does not drop.

Most of all, Chris W. It hasn't worked out the way he hoped and envisioned at all.

Well to me it turned out that SSF is not as cool as I expected since there are backdoors to go back into standard. I want it to be more punishing.

You need to be flexible, and/OR begin a new character when the opportunity presents itself.

It's not WoW, it's an arpg. This type of game is all about rolling & rerolling :)

So, because SSF was not hardcore enough for you, you chose to play the easier option?

Righto.

I wish people would just say what they mean, that they wouldnt enjoy SSF because of "x reason" be it that you cant make specific builds, be it that you can be incredibly currency starved, be it whatever else.

But please dont make up bullshit reasons that are a thin veiled insult towards everyone playing that mode. You dont need to justify your actions, it is a game, play what you enjoy.

I've been building based on what I've been finding, trying to do it the other way around would be a waste of time.

OK, on the one hand I get it, but then again, not. If you decide to NOT play standard in the first place, then going to standard because of a drop seems like a non-option. I'm not sure why you think this devalues SSF.

Each to their own I guess.

About the only think I would quit SSF for. With my RNG, not something I spend a lot of time thinking about!
