It's one thing to use the term correctly to identify the party. It's another to call people out using that term. They've decided rather than to dick around with which case is which to ban the use of the term all together. It's their party. Their rules. Abide.

Nonsense, I wish for all such reasonable and balanced remarks to be expunged from this thread. Time to get on the train and concentrate on camping this thread.

I posted this in another part of the forum I'll post it here as well. With censors.

Of course a military controlled country that persecutes and tortures that which is different would remind people of the ____. They are the most well known example of that. Of course that will come to mind.

When I first saw the spoilers I was reminded of Nightwatch from Babylon 5. That in turn was very influenced by Orwell's novel 1984.

As for the armbands. A society that would care very much if you are part of a loyal group would want easy identification of people in the group. Armbands are a very practical way of doing so. (This again reminded me of Nightwatch and in turn 1984, before it did the ____).

While ____'s were Christian, the ____ government was very distrusting of the Christian faith (and organized religion in general). Their persecution of Jews was mostly as a scapegoat to help unite the masses. Hence the combination of being a religious state is very different from the Nazi government. Also more ____'s were Protestant then Catholic.

As for the Catholic church coming to mind, they are just the largest branch of Christianity, of course they'll come to mind.

If you look at the history of the game, Piety was the original main bad guy. If you ask yourself, when creating a society, what sort of society would create Piety, you get a military controlled state that tortures people and is religious.

Whenever you have bad guys that are humans (not demons, not gods, not aliens) there is enough history in the world that those events will look/remind people of some past events. This is not an organized plot, it is just how things are.
