[2.6] Assassin HoWA Spectral Throw. Fronthand Backhand!

I have 8.6k ES with the above gear. You don't need more leech than Soul Raker + VP but for bosses it's important to have Vinktar up. You can take more leech if you want from Blood Drinker node, even though it's a life node and is redundant for the build. I get around just fine with 1.5% leech, occasionally using Vinktar on big mobs like Essences or Beyond etc.

Is there any way to be immune to freez ?
You need 1 freeze immune flask. I use diamond flask with freeze immine and silver flask with shock immune.

killed the Shaper with your build!

Wasn't deathless, cause it was my first Shaper kill AND my gear isn't top tier ;x. (2 portals left, died once to the second in-between boss).

Level 93, went for Fury Bolts and Primeval Force in the passive tree since it hasn't been updated, and put in Elemental Focus instead of Faster Attacks. Also grabbed the Jewel slot in the Witch section of the tree, next to the +1 power charge, but it was mostly to cap my resists.

For flasks, replaced Basalt with Sapphire since my cold resist is barely hitting cap and I heard he penetrates cold with those weird projectiles, along with anti-shock so Vinktar's doesn't get me killed

Hi, I'm glad you have achieved end game result with the build. I was rather busy/burnt out at the same time so I haven't played the game for a week now, so sorry for the no-update. Yes primeval force and fury bolts + witch jewel sockets are what I was originally planning to get to.

Thanks for playing the build and prove that I'm good at making build ??!!??

Spoiler
the last sentence is a joke

Thoughts on taking Point Blank?
Point blank is a good damage boost, especially if you are going to farm shaper or guardians. Would not recommend it before getting 6l though. It is also very close to primeval force cluster so no real trouble travelling.

I need a little help understanding the primary links and damage.

My 6 link is BBGGGR

GGGR: ST - GMP/Slower proj - Faster Attacks - WED

The question I have is for the BB. Your part on that in the guide says to use Lightning Pen and Crit damage. I have 3 blue gems to combine in 2s: Lightning pen, Crit damage, and Ele focus.

In h/o with wrath up and lightning golem, currently with Point Blank instead of the Claws of the Falcon cluster, the numbers are:
Ele Focus + Crit Damage is 49k
Ele Focus + Lightning Pen is 42k
Crit damage + Lightning Pen is 33k

20/20 lightning pen penetrates 37% of lightning res. so am I to assume that in essentially all cases, I am really taking 33k + 37% (12k)? Or does is the penetration actually more significant than that?

Thanks for any help on this as I just don't know enough about the math to be confident in the best gem setup.

Hi, crit dmg will not give you the correct hideout dps, so is Light pen. Light Pen does not show up in the tooltip at all, while crit dmg effectiveness is related to crit chance and hit chance. However penetration is very crucial for elemental build, more so for single elemental like HoWA.

Resistance penetration works in the way that the higher enemy res is, the more effective penetration will be. Normal mobs would be cleared with or without penetration, however it is crucial for elemental builds to have penetration, because that is the real way of scaling damage versus endgame bosses.

Straight from the wiki are additional information that you can read through to have a better grasp. From passives, gem and Wise Oak the build achieve about 75% resistances, which will bring any boss to negative resistance. Starting from 0 resistance, every -1% is 1% MORE dmg.

On to crit dmg. Crit dmg is only effective in combat, when you have power charges. That is when it kicks in and with Assassin's Unstable Infusion you will have 100% uptime on power charges. Like I said in the first post, with Diamond Flask, effective crit chance at 6 power charges is already over 80%, a sweet spot in my opinion for charge generation.

Ele focus is the better gem for Shaper/Uber/Guardian farmer because statistically it gives more damage than Faster Attack. Faster Attack however feels nicer to map with. Both are good choice. I would actually put an Ascentral Protector down for boss fight too to gain more attack speed.

Wow this is a lot of super useful info. Sorry to make you repeat stuff that I could probably gather through the wiki though D:

Well I've got the 6 link for faster attacks right now, so as long as that won't be too problematic for shaper or uber, then I should be good to go, especially since I really just want to down them for completion's sake and not farm them. Just going to say goodbye to my sweet tooltip hahaha.

Thanks again!
