Skin of the Loyal

On this chest what does +100% to global defence do? Seems it increases ES?
Also what is the difference between Loyal and Lord's? Wiki is a bit confusing, at least to silly old me.

Loyal is uncorrupted, has the 100% increased global defences and +1 to gems.

Lords is corrupted, offers the same boni as loyal, BUT also a random keystone in addition (afaik no CI or BM) and can ONLY socket corrupted gems.

The 100% is an increased modifier for all three of the primary defence types:
Evasion
Armour
Energy Shield
