Zone lag issues

Randomly for the past two days, every few zones (doesn't matter if maps, lab, town, hideout, etc) I will start getting sever latency spikes. Normally run around 60. The zones will jump between 60 and 1k the entire time I'm initially in the zone.

I can quick fix it typically where I leave and reenter and it works fine, sometimes when leaving the next zone will be laggy but be ok once i re-enter. I've checked that there's no additional network activity passing through my modem/router, and the only active connections are normal options that operate.

That's something that I have too and GGG and their minions saying its my ISP / router
Even they can't even explain why entering 1 zone give you ping 60 and the other 1k.

So get ready to get ignored like hell.
jw who's your ISP?
I am having this exact issue and it happens constantly. The worst is trying to run uber lab and suddenly I'm getting 1,800 latency spikes...

My ISP is Verizon FiOS... I have zero issues with any other game or web service. My system is completely fine, my network is completely fine. I do not use wireless and my router is properly configured.

Considering you can quick fix by rezoning (sometimes several times), I _highly_ doubt it is an ISP or router issue.

I've, of course, tried rebooting my machine, updating drivers, etc...

This issue started the same time as you as well. I'm playing on the Texas server if that's applicable.

I'm on Frontier as well (verizon was sold to frontier) Reason i ask the ISP b/c if we all share the same ISP there might be some reasoning for GGG to say its ISP related. The server doesn't matter, it happens on dc/tx/cali/EU servers.

Next time this happens, immediately hit your client.txt file without exiting the game or instance you are in. That file is in your poe install dir/logs folder. Look for the instance IP address of the instance you are in...should be in the last group of 3-4 lines in the file (it's time and date stamped I do believe).

Hit the stickies, DL and run a WinMTR (0.92) to that instance IP and post the results. Make sure and run it for at least 300-500 seconds to give a good data set. It wouldn't hurt running one to your login server as well.

Without that sort of basic info, nobody can help which is why those stickies are up in the first place.

Same issue here.
Past few days were fine and switching servers usually worked fine but today nothing did. I've restarted my router and pc but it doesn't do anything. I would be quite surprised if it did actually, since everything else works just fine and I'm having no lag spikes in any other game. In one zone it's fine, around 50 ping and in other it's jumping from 50 to 1k just like that.
Also I sometimes get lag spikes while moving or managing stash. Without doing anything ping is at a constant number and after I click something it skyrockets immediately...
@dunedane, will post this info when i get home as i'm sure it'll come up again. I originally posted in bug forums and the post was moved. My mistake on that I haven't noticed the technical support forum before. Will read through the info on what to post to help gather intel.
I don't know how to monospace format but here's some data from my end:

First Test, nothing major, just a couple lost packets... meanwhile the latency was hitting 1,500 spikes...

Second Test, in hideout, same thing. No network latency, not even a single dropped packet:

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider
This is happening to me as well, i think it started last Saturday, 3-25-2017. I use Frontier. Its driving me crazy. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game and it still does it. I've reset the router a few times as well. Not sure why this has randomly started, i've played the game alot since this league has started and this wasn't an issue at any time prior, or up until now.
