Looking for a high DPS class/build. (Rerolling after elemental ranger)

Hi,

I have been playing Elemental Ranger and made it to level 62 in the early stages of open beta, but all I had was:

2300 DPS on Burning Arrow, single target.
450 DPS on LA, with GMP.
1200 DPS on RoA.

I had to attack monsters like 3-4 times to kill them.

I'm thinking about rerolling a summoner templar, but summons seems to be sucking until level 50's. I can't keep their track since they die alot.

What can you suggest to me? I'm not interedted in PVP at all. Just want to farm high level areas as quickly as possible.

My brother just switched from being elemental bow ranger to elemental 2 hand melee ranger at level 80.
His left click single target DPS skill damage increased from 3300 DPS to 8000 DPS.
I believe he was using elemental hit as a single target damage dealer before. Not sure what skill he is using right now.

It is a huge damage difference in my opinion. He'll be taking down rares more than at a double speed.

Basically, I'm looking for a high damage dealer class. LA proccing few times with a little DPS isn't my type because sometimes there are only 2-3 mobs coming to you, and relying on procs isn't effective.

i think you do the maximum damage with lightning arrow when there are only 3 enemies, they get hit 9999 times each
