Please change Blind Support's quality bonus to increased chance to blind.

There are so many other, more reliable sources of Blind out there nowadays (Stibnite, anyone?) that 10% chance of slightly longer duration Blind is just not worth it anymore. Might as well socket Culling Strike instead, I feel like, sometimes. I wouldn't mind a bump to the base chance, either. Something like 15% blind chance for a level 1 0% q gem, and 20% or 25% chance for a 20% quality gem. Not overpowered. But a much better option than what we have now. Need game info? Quality shouldn't provide a bonus to the base effect, in my opinion. Even at a "mere" +5% Quality bonus, it forms a total of +50% base effectiveness - that's insanely good. A level 20, 0% Quality gem should* be preferable over a level 1, 20% Gem.
That said, I would support upping the Blind Chance a smidge. It's a defensive Support, but it's actually not terribly good at that anymore? At 10% chance, there's such a large chance that Blind either doesn't trigger or only triggers at the very end of a fight... It feels so wasted during these moments when the aforementioned Stibnite solves all Blinding woes guaranteed and entirely instantly, and then some. |

Well, to have something not proportionally too strong compared to the original value .... what would it be, 10% qual for 1 additional % chance to blind ? :p
But yeah, it's pretty ridiculous how this gem has not been updated for ages ... SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

I think blind should get an additional bonus like fortify and sorts. Even minion elemental resist gives some increased damage.
Why not have the supported skill deal increased damage against blinded enemies, or reduced stun threshold or idunno... I used to use frenzy gmp chain blind on some characters like totemer with wands that used to spend more time doing nothing but then they put elemental focus in the game so you're better off trying to proc that now, and things die 1 of totem cast now so you run ahead and place a second totem to get ready kill the next pack before the first totem kills the previous pack...

The only way for Blind to work decently is to have either 100% chance to apply the effect or modify the chance based on either the damage effectiveness or base attackspeed (of the weapon) or castspeed.

Whenever I was discussing the actual strength of BoR compared to some good 6L and a good helmet, the guys who claim BoR is just BiS always spout this nonsense: "But but, BoR is a 7L".

" Back in the days, BoR was incredibly strong. The current version of BoR is too sad. It does not help when there are plenty of other sources to get blind on top of blind getting its effectiveness nerfed. Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.
