Last I checked 4+1 was 5. You'd also have to have a significant draw-back... like that being the only affect (essentially giving up a ring for the link).

Not a bad idea, but to be a equivalent to tabula it should have a disadvantage

Giving up both ring slots is a huge drawback. Even too big.

I know giving up 2 rings is a large drawback but giving up a armor is even larger and I was not thinking on a large penalty either. Without this it would be a bit stronger than tabula.

People would put the skill gem in the gloves and roll essence mods that boost damage like the +3.5% crit chance mod.

not sure why we need another source of 6l when we already have tabula for that.


i like the concept of linking rings to gloves, may be a diferent aproach

Not a gloves expert, but aren't there some gloves that already come with "socketed gems supported with X" mods which would be kind of broken if you allowed them to link to more than 4 gems?

Not really. You can already get psuedo 7 and 8 links so that isn't anything special, necessarily. The problem as I see it as doing it with gloves is you run into some really weird combinations, like using voideye as one of the rings it links to. Dual voideyes even. One with empower and one with a spell gem. Could potentially break the level 30 skill cap with it (level 21 gem + voideye = 26 + level 4 empower + voideye (+8 levels) = 34 spell, level 32 without level corruptions.)
