Terrible PoE performance issues since 2.6 - is there a fix?

I've bought a new PC 3 months ago and the problem isn't with it's specs - game was running fine in 2.5. Right now as you can see the game staggers. Every couple of seconds there's a 0.5-1s pause, which is wrecking my play experience :/

PC specs are:

MSI GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING X 6GB GDDR5
HyperX 8GB 2400MHz Fury Black CL15
Intel i5-6500 3.20GHz 6MB BOX
SSD drive

I highly doubt it's PC's fault. I've tried switching to DX 9/11, nothing helped.

I have same problem but much worse then you since 2.6. Doin league stones makes the game unplayable. I get 5 second freezes when entering a map with a league stone and doesnt settle for around 30 seconds but will stutter constantly through whole map with minor freezing.Also get 5 second or more freezes when someone enters a map or zone I'm in If approach any shrines or perandus I can't control my character. Even in maps with no league stones its still awful and barely playable. Constant stuttering and random freezes the gameplay isn't like how it was before 2.6 launch.

Just died to this at level 99 tryin to get rank 12 on softcore I froze up and couldn't even logout when I saw monsters ambushing me.

I have a GTX 1060 as well and notice the stuttering. I've never crashed, but the game plays laggy despite what seems to be like consistent <30ms latency.

Hi guys, I have à gtx 1070 and i5 6600k 16gb of ddr4, i play lots of games maxed out like BF1 and its run at 60 fps stable, but POE when I do some lake run on party or breach with my friend my fps drop below 40-30 and its horrible ... plz tell me if this gonna be fix soon or if I'm not the only one with this kind of issue ... love you guys keep your great work but plz, fix this and give me n answer !

Yes, just watched the video and that is exactly my problem too! I also had no problem until recently.

6700k, GTX1080, 16gb ram.


Nice to know its not me, but can someone at GGG state they are looking into this?
