Bane of Legends + Totem doesn't work. Intended?

When my warchief kills a rare/unique I don't get Onslaught. Is this intended?

Yes. Totem gets the kill -> Totem gets the on-Kill bonus. However, Warchiefs cannot meaningfully benefit from Onslaught, what with them using your offensive stats as opposed to their own, so there's no real point to them having Onslaught.
