SSF characters share stash?

Yes, I realized that already and I have continued to do so. I was under the impression that the SSF thing would be the same as the self-imposed restriction and we/I would get an achievement for it. Something I still want, but it's just "less shiny" now that I understand it isn't all that different from playing alone in any past leagues (standard or HC).
Eh... Hardcore isn't hardcore enough and solo isn't solo enough. I'll just continue playing then. And so it is: Vini Vidi Flati |

Self found always implied "found by your character", as the games that had it in place, never offered a shared stash or ability to give items to another hero of yours.
POE has a shared stash and all characters can access it, even those that never played in a league, as we see with standard. It´s pretty confusing, like so many things with this game. ;) I would had expected that a self found league sticks to the old rules (each char for itself), but I forgot about shared stash as well and wouldn´t had thought about this problem at all, if I hadn´t read this thread. Maybe the Dev´s simply forgot it as well... They also don´t remove "retired" characters from the ladder, but hey it´s the first season with this mode, so they can still improve it! |

" While Diablo 2 characters each had a separate stash, the game allowed you to drop items on the ground within towns. Dropped items would persist long enough for you to log out and log back in with a different character. This was reliable enough to enable players to "twink" new characters with items found by their other characters. The game's replayability would have suffered greatly without this feature. |

If someone has reached level xx has a self found player, what he does later has absolutely no relevance that he did achieve such a level to start with, that player deserve to be at that position of the ladder in any case. SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

1. The OP has the option of not sharing his items between his SSF characters
2. It doesn't hurt him that other people might think sharing between their SSF chars ok 3. And yet he SO want to impose his way of playing on other players *rolls eyes* |
