Wild Strike Options
|
Pretty new to playing Wildstrike never played it before, has anyone got any build ideas for 2.6 would love if you could share them to give me a basic idea on how I want to play it
Thank you :) Last bumped on Mar 3, 2017, 2:59:27 PM

there is a lot of options. wild strike can be used with any melee weapon so it could be anything that goes well with elemental damage, really
if I made one, Id probably choose very fast weapon (no matter if phys or elemental) and focus on added elemental damage and crit (or elemental overload?). Id probably choose Elementalist for Mastermind of Discord and Beacon of ruin (and because I like her) or Inquisitor for resist ignore, but it can be played well by lot of classes, raider for great speed, slayer for the free splash and good non-VP leech, assassin to have high crit with non-crit weapon... Attack fast. Very fast. If you attack 10 a second you are attacking slowly. Once you get enough attack speed the elements fully cover the entire screen with a base damage of 170% + damage supports.

I want to play Elementalist with Mind Over Matter, elemental equilibrium and elemental overload, Vaal Pact + ghost reaver. Rest of the character is a mess tho, I've never played CI and I'm unsure about melee CI vs stuns? Should I go 2h, dual or 1h + shield? I was thinking going into the duelist leech area and to get +2 weap range but it's a big investement.

Since you can't scale with %melee damage you want weapon based clusters. And probably crit so that you have enough scaling options from support gems. Elementalist or Inquisitor are good ascendancy classes. Claws seem good with the new elemental leech. Maybe daggers or staves, but staves have bad mobility and this build needs to get on top of monsters to hit them in the face.

anything really, including things like cospri's malice..

I just got a (hopefully decent) idea... Raider, as many weapon elemental damage nodes as possible, Avatar of the chase, Avatar of slaughter and dual wielding dreamfeather. Maybe grab the new and improved (or are they the old ones?) sword nodes in ranger area, elemental leech from shadow and duelist areas.
For body armour we could use "The perfect form" together with arctic armour, grace and your choice of blasphemy whatever or purity of ice (for more evasion thanks to perfect form), or we use queen of the forest for more movement speed. Will it work? I have no idea. Will it be fun? Most likely. Not sure if we could even use elemental equilibrium... As I said, just a stray thought. Not the slightest idea if it could work or not. I make dumb builds, therefore I am.

" I think it would, with lots of added elemental damage.. the damage potential could certainly be estimated, if you know the support gem setup, tree and possibly some other synergies the final build would use. But ele equilibrium would not be an option in 99% of cases, because it prevents you from getting added damage. IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator#6587 on Mar 2, 2017, 3:37:43 PM

I see. Ele equilibrium wold work best with a 100% phys weapon?

" theoretically, yes, with the slow, high damage weapon. but those would in most cases want to use things like hatred or added fire support.. IGN: Eric_Lindros CET: Timezone Last edited by Ludvator#6587 on Mar 2, 2017, 4:42:13 PM
