whirling blades vs rest of movement skills

whirling blades is still the best. shield charge sucks. it gets me stuck all the time when i wanna move.

Thats how I feel, especially if you take into account the required investment, and you see why its so popular among casters.

But people are making a good argument for LW. Honestly I have never even tried it with Rapid Decay, always faster casting. Derp! Gotta try that. I was fooling around with a caster with alot of faster casting passives, 20Q/19L LW, low quality Reduced Duration... and I was again dissapointed by the speed. Just seems so long your standing there after activation, compared to instant move skills like WB and SC, while FD being alot faster due to my cast speed passives as well.

Also, there is a unique issue with my accuracy because I often play with a controller to strain my wrists less. That makes LW really difficult to utilize.

Right, if you do use shift then if there is a distance difference between Shield Charge and Whirling Blades then its negligeble. However, having to hold down shift is a notch against it compared to Whirling Blades. If you dont, you have the Flame Dash issue of trying to run to within radius to escape.

i only use lightning warp for traveling over obstacles. same with flame dash. that's all they are good for. i suspect that's what they are intended to be used for too.

lw is awkward at best to use for movement. and that is in a dream scenario in a lab environment. a pebble on the ground that is in the way will stop the teleport. maybe there are some people here who have the willpower and tenacity to cope with that but i doubt it.

i use whirling blades or leap slam
