Essence Drain Scion: Stuck at lvl 79 suggestions?

Hey all,

I need some help/suggestions on how to proceed with my ED Scion.

I use this build https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1627803 as base but I am stuck at lvl 79 with 0% progress for some hours - always dying and losing precious EP.

I am stuck in Act IV and can't finish the two King's Dreams and I can just run lvl 1 or 2 maps and with a lot of luck some lvl 3.

I think I miss some fundamental basics and should redo my equipment but I don't know which attributes I have to get and which type of armor fits best to the build. Some items like the necklace didn't change sind mid 30th and should be quiet easy to change but again - no idea what is good.

I'd be happy to get some suggestions from you :)

Alright, I can see some major mistakes you have made. First off, make sure your elemental resistances are capped, 75/75/75%. You will also want to get some gear that has life. Many of your gear pieces have little to no life on them and this is going to be a huge detriment to your build and kills your survivability. You're also not using Blasphemy. The build you're playing utilizes Blasphemy in order to turn curses in to auras. I would highly suggest you buy a Blasphemy gem and link it with Enfeeble and Temporal chains, which are the strongest defensive curses in the game.

You'll also probably want to get in to trading with people. Most people list and search for items on the website poe.trade.

You'll want to buy a 5 linked body armour, they're pretty cheap, 1-5 Chaos orbs at most. You will also want to save up to purchase The Consuming Dark dagger, which you will use until you can affoard to purchase a Cospri's Will. And once you managed to obtain a Cospri's Will, you will want to aim to obtain a Heretic's Veil so you can run Enfeeble/Temporal Chains/Vulnerability all on Blasphemy.

Don't try to complete Act 4 Merciless. The later bosses are higher level and harder than anything you'll find in tier 1-5 maps. Instead, farm the zone Dried Lake for currency and items. If you're having trouble with trading and making enough currency, you can choose to do the Chaos vendor recipe to obtain Chaos orbs.

For affixes you want on gear, aim for as much life and resistances as you can. Everything else is secondary until you learn the game and get in to higher level maps. You will want as much Spell Damage on your Wand/Dagger as possible, projectile speed is also nice.

this helped a lot. Just bought a 5linked body armor and the Consuming Dark Dagger. Not sure why I missed Blasphemy but it's working great with Enfeeble and Temporary Chains.
