SRS with or without totem

Is it better cast SRS with our without totem?

Have you better DPS without totem?

If you pure srs, I wouldn't other with totem. If you are a summoner who has extra 4or 5link and you can throw a srs totem on bosses

Obviously you will deal less single target damage with SRS totem since you will have 1 link less, and my guess is clearspeed will also suffer but you get a it extra kiteability

Not good if you also selfcast SRS, since you are limited to 20 and it takes up some of that with weaker versions. Its ok if you do anything other then selfcast srs and have the extra links.

If they are your main damage source: definitely without totem. Not only does it take up a gem slot but it also has a nasty "less damage" multiplier. Double whammy. The totems were mostly useful when we could get 50 spirits.

20 spirits is easily attainable without much investment in faster casting or increased durations. Keeping those allows for 20 spirits and plenty of kiting.


If you are considering it as an extra in a 4-link on another summoner type... even then you may want to experiment with it and not necessarily plan on relying on it. It may be adding more lag then help at the cost of other more useful totem options.
