Five new rogue exiles coming are way in 2.6

and out of the five, one of them is semi-melee with Disfavour. Feels like a melee buff. Though, it is nice to see that we are getting more rogue exiles with interesting approaches.
Sometimes you can take the game out of the garage but you can't take the garage out of the game.

I do not, so when I do Desert and Acid Lakes maps. I mostly skip the boss to save time unless I am using an AoE build that melts the screen, then they die before becoming annoying.

if they do not put up a fight they are pointless content. right now rogues are getting straight up one shot by most builds. I doubt players even notice they are there. the only time they become viable is when they are in groups like the end of the precinct map. Even then they are still very weak. If they are going to add in more rogues they got to at least give them some steroids or something I want to see them be near the strength of the beyond bosses (like just below that or right at that level).

They also got nerfed since there has been plenty of feedbacks in the past that the risk versus reward for rogue exiles was a total mess, so most opt out in fighting rogue exiles because they were not worth it. GGG dragged them down to balance out the risk versus reward, so while they are a joke now, it matches with the reward.

True enough. I certainly remember when they terrorised the playerbase bigtime.




Terrorized nothing. I stayed killing rogues back then that was the best of battles. One minute you are putting in work and the next you are fighting head to head with a mini boss that can dish out and tank as much as or more than the player can. It was exciting. Then they made the rogues out of paper. At this point there are rare monsters that put up more of a fight than the rogues. I still think they should just pull rogues from the Hall of Grandmasters and switch them all out every single league to mix it up some.

Problem with rogue exiles is the same as for the rest of the game - one-shot fiesta.

You can't have AI controlled enemies who will react fast enough to a player rolling a wave of atomic destruction, unless you retort to giving them one-shots themselves.

They tried it with Warbands - they were tough, but they hit very hard. What did you get? A fight that is long and annoying (because they hit like trucks), but you can't possibly end it quickly. They couldn't make them hit softly, because then players would simply kite them forever, or log out.

And we're at full circle again - instant logout forcing us into the corner of frantic one-shots. :V
