That feel when the Chaos Recipe becomes a waste of time

Almost 2 years in POE never seen an Exalt drop, almost end Breach and i have a couple of Chaos and no Exalts and i am playing daily since Breach launch.....plz dont give GGG the wrong idea because if they change it i am out (a game where you can not do end game sucks) However, chaos should be from ilvl 75 and up....
Perhaps we should exchange RNG?
It's not about RNG though. It's about utilizing the wealth I have spread across my account, and accumulating more of everything just by running more maps. More power = faster map clearing = more wealth. It's that simple.
Most people who are broke seem to focus on the Chaos recipe, and when they don't generate wealth fast enough, they use those Chaos to make another character. In doing this, they will continuously hit a wall with each build and restart the process, spreading their wealth thinly across many characters.
The wealth isn't in the big drops, exalts, or even your chaos orbs. Go convert all your orbs to chaos in a spread sheet with current ratios and tell me how much chaos they are in value. Now think about all the currency you wasted or blew on rolling alternate builds out of frustration.

so to recap. CR is not a waste of time. You just have to do it efficiently
There does not exist a reality where any level of efficiency will result in your map clear speed being competitive to a clear speed player who does not waste their time with the chaos recipe.
"Big data analyst" my ass. You're probably an intern.
I have all the power i need to fast clear T15 maps, the more maps is the problem since high level maps are extremely rare in high level maps (yes i followed the mapping guide on this forum) I do have to admit i am only at atlas 117/126 so i need to push this up. I ussualy do a weeks worth of low map farming and saving up items for the chaos recepy to do end game in the weekends to left broke at sunday and thus need to repeat. Luckely there will be an XBOX port so i hope this lame game play will be adressed so we can all get to enjoy end game as it should be (GGG can only attract XBOX players if they nerf the game (or buff it).

2 years is meaningless. I bet if you stopped doing the chaos recipe, and instead spent that time in maps killing mobs, proccing the RNG roulette wheel, you would get an ex drop :P
Did that for a year and this simply accumulates wealth faster to do more, faster and higher mapping (which unfortunatly gets you broke faster :)

Well you don't HAVE to maintain top tier maps. Many hardcore players do not even leave yellow maps until ~93.
For example, regular Strand is extremely profitable with minimal investment...albeit boring.
50 strand maps would cost you ~50 alchs, take around 1.5 min each for average builds to clear, and can net something ridiculous like >180c/hr profit in accumulated wealth.
It comes down to your priorities. If your priorities are to level as fast as possible, you will push your maps as far as you can while maintaining clear speed. If your priorities are just to farm, you can generate plenty of wealth out of lower tier maps that are easily maintainable.

No no, I get it... But I feel like once masters are level 7 (which takes no time) they will generally be higher level zones, no? I don't remember because I don't level most of my masters past 7.
Some quests today :
So it's not an issue (at least for me, since I never level my masters up to lvl 8 during a league... not enough play time for that)
I'm playing very inefficient, but being a born packrat I have to pick up and identify most things.
Since I trade seldom, and only buying then it's ok, perhaps I'll try SFL next season.
Things this league I didn't buy:
The sash and the sword is woth a handful of exalts, the armor the usual 6-link-price. I got lucky with it to use up only about 80 fuses.
So you'll get some stuff if you identify all this trash, too.
Findings from other seasons:
You get stuff - and I know I like it more to find the stuff myself than with trading. I trade most times in leagues for this 1 chaos unique that is key for the build but refuses to drop.
So I'm doing the 1 chaos receipt - since everything is IDed.
What I would do is fill about 4-5 tabs up with un-ID'd rares. Once those tabs filled up, I'd quit picking up item types I already had plenty of in storage. Like 2h weapons for example. The bottleneck for me was usually rings/amulets. Usually when I do chaos recipes, I grab stuff out of storage and do 8-10+ at a time. It doesn't really take that much time to organize loot and burn chaos recipes. It's not like it's the only thing you'll be doing.
I could sit down and ID 1000 rare items, and would be extremely lucky to find 1 item worth 10c or more. This is why I decided that doing un-ID recipes would statistically get you better returns.
If you want rings/amulets, why not just use alchs on rings/amulets? Most leaques alchs are only worth like 3:1 chaos.
Standard league especially, it would be more worthwhile to do un-ID vendor combos considering how low the prices are for decently rolled rares.
Really early in a new league, like the first week or 2, when prices are still good for borderline junk rares, it might be worth selling more stuff on poe.xyz.
There are also players who like buying, but aren't really into selling stuff. Chaos recipes are a reasonably steady source of income that's not super RNG based. So someone looking to save up for an item that's 3-4ex, that's easily attainable by farming chaos recipes.

This is probably one of the main reasons I still do the recipe.
I sell stuff, but only the things "really worth selling".
This league, I found a "fiend" card in a diviners box, sold for ~420 chaos immediatly.
Or I alched a 140% resist ring.
Or a 300 DpS foil or an early Bino's, no trouble selling this.
I don't bother selling 1c items, and I don't like pricechecking the rares I find.
I also don't invest too much into the recipe.
I usually just pick up the rares from the map boss and dump them into a trash tab, together with all unid jewelry I find and don't want to identify (I usually only want rustics, leather belts, steel rings and opal rings anyways).
Every 10-20 regular maps, I alt/aug and run a couple "additional two exiles" maps to get the missing jewelry, and then I sell most of the trash tab for 2c/set.
This takes almost no time, and adds a steady income.
Think I made a couple 100 chaos this way this league without really working for it.
Though the "real fuel" is things like "the fiend" and other RNG drops, that's why of course I don't spend too much time for this. But if I quit doing it, I'd need to sell more items to other players.
And that's also time consuming and annoying. ;)
Yea, when I stopped doing it a while back It felt like escaping prison. All the micromanagement...and I had 3 tabs for it. Even with 3 full tabs something was missing some damn boot or something. And the iLVL requirement jesus. What a waste of time and enjoyment. It felt like a chore. The next week after I stopped I still felt an urge to pick up waste. Now I am free and the game is way more enjoyable.
