There are so many bad uniques, I'm never excited to find one.

Basically, i quit a long time ago because of the desync issues, lockstep fixed that and i came back when breach league started.

In that short time, I've completely lost any and all excitement for finding uniques, because 9 out of 10 times they're worth 1 alch and are for the most part useless to me.

I feel like finding a unique should always be a fun rewarding experience, which it currently simply isn't.

I'm not saying make good uniques drop like candy, thats what turns diablo 3 boring so quickly, but the current system feels pretty unrewarding.

What you deem as good unique if you find them all bad?

And in what time frame you would want this unique to drop or you feel entitled getting dropped for you?

And what if I told you it was supposed to be this way?
Bye bye desync!

That's your problem. Low level uniques, leveling uniques, etc. should not be overly rare. There are plenty of "shitty" uniques that actually can be very useful when leveling also.

This is just the way the system works. Adjust your expectations. Get a loot filter that makes GOOD uniques exciting (like if a Shavs drops, make it big and noisy, where a pair of wanderlusts is small and not noisy).
U MAD?
Loot in general is pretty terrible and dull at the moment.

Past the first few weeks of a temporal league, most rare bases become useless and high end uniques have taken a beating due to repeated nerfs or internal mechanic changes.

On standard its not even worth picking up 99.9% of bases anymore. Essences have done nothing to change end game rares because dropped rares are still useless.

Numbers game. He designed with numbers. I went for theme.

And PoE is nothing but a numbers game. I don't know why GGG waste their time with acts anymore. Just make the whole thing a Mapping model...restrict unique drops by map base name, solves the drop issue nicely.

If by numbers you mean the number of harassing emails he must have sent on a daily basis to get his shit done the way he wanted XD

I get what you mean, but that's kinda how things have to be. 95% are leveling 4.9% are build enabling or just decent and the last .1% are the GG rare as fuck items. Despite recent turns in the companys direction, yellows are supposed to be the technically bis items unless you need a unique that gives you build enabling effects. I personally like this because it makes rares more interesting.
