Does detonate dead count as a corpse consumption?

I'm pretty sure DD destroys targeted corpse, or in case of Vaal DD all corpses in an area. If any skill requires corpse to function, DD will prevent its use.
I personally do not play summoners/necromancers but I used Vaal DD/spell totem + DD to destroy majority of corpses in Coward's Trial, which prevented last boss resurrecting them. |

I was looking foir answer some time ago as well and found this, whcih means it doesn't count as corpse consumption:
