So what was the deal with Eternal orbs?

I can see them being an issue in standard but in temp leagues?

guess the exalt...

someone just shoot me in the face and put me out of my crafting misery. Worked out at about 12 chaos per 1 life regen per sec for a ci melee with no zealots wearing skyforths... ughhhh....

guess the exalt...

about 12 chaos per 0.2 life per sec, on a ci skyforth cold attack + spell cospris sword thingy.

ruined, just like my will to live. Cant we just get rid of mirrors and have a way to work at crafting over time rather than just orb blast and then kill yourself when u get life regen? No?

:( ok.

I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
I think GGG's reasoning is "it's still a good item! At least you didn't lose the other stats :) :)"

eventually the game is just a mirror of capitalism.

the promise is to be able to get to the top of the pyramid by washing dishes farming dried lake while in reality it's being smart with abusing the work of other people.

question is: does it do good for the game to have "unbelievable rich people"? well it works for capitalism in real life, humans are that illusionary to believe it's possible to be like them some day.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Until they are implementing a crafting system, this semblance to "capitalism" is the salvation to a huge problem...

If it would cost more than 5 times the actual prices, but your end result would be less RNG and more determined, more of the player base will try to craft items to suit their needs, instead of "trading/farming" it, but that deterministic result would have to be based around self found gear to be effective...

By the way, money piles laying around are not making you a better gamer or a better person if you're not using them...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...

Except in real life there's no botting, overlay/maphack, trade macro/30+ live searches, and price fixing/collusion has consequences. PoE is pretty far from capitalism without any kind of sticky reputation whatsoever, enabling players to post fake prices and/or scam/steal to the top, where's in real marketplaces like ebay/amazon reputation matters. GGG will even change a scammers name for them.
Never underestimate what the mod community can do for PoE if you sell an offline client.

In real life You have the same mechanisms but named differently. But the essence is the same - they fuck us on dry with a smile.

+1

I really see mirrors as extremely negative. Everywhere in the game you have to make hard choices, this is considered a good thing by most. In other games, the hardest choice can be "I just found something really godly. Wow. Now, do I create a new char around it or do I sell it so I can equip my current char really well?". In POE, you get to do both.
It seems that somebody's child was responsible for that decision: "Wah, Joey has that great bow, I want one too!"

Spoiler: No, I don't have a mirror :) I would sell it if I found one and deck out a char...
May your maps be bountiful, exile
