Any way to do something like Diablo 2 Paladin?
With at least 2 auras (curse or non curse), mace, shield...
I really want to play like this, any tips on how to get the most of it? Last bumped on Dec 29, 2016, 3:36:46 AM

Like, what? FoH, Zeal, Hammerdin?
Let's see... Blasphemy curses, Shield Charge, Dual Strike, with as much stacked attack speed as humanly possible... Or perhaps Storm Call, closest thing to FoH I can think of. And then, I don't think there's anything resembling Blessed Hammer. At least, not on the player side of things. There's an Act 4 unique monster that has it :P |

" There's no consistent way to use Blessed Hammer, but Vaal Spectral Throw launches the spectral weapon in a spiral, so, basically Blessed Hammer as a weapon skill (no "magic damage" as in D2). (To OP: Vaal Skills require souls harvested from enemies to be used, hence the "no consistent way." That is, you have to kill monsters with some other skill before you can launch your hammer spirals of doom.) ...... To the OP, you got a lot of options available. Any class can run any skill, and there are aura reserve reductions scattered mostly throughout the tree nowadays. Also nowadays, you can run one major aura and one minor aura without any reserve reduction whatsoever, so that's good news for you. Gladiator (Duelist ascendancy) is themed around block, so that's a good choice if you're chasing max block. Guardian (Templar ascendancy) is themed around auras, block, and support, so probably fits your goals most thematically - but its a bit of an advanced class and I'm pretty sure you don't get too much extra DPS without minions, which I don't personally like. I wouldn't recommend it for the average plug and play Diablo 2 Paladin fan. Need game info? Check out the Wiki at: https://www.poewiki.net/ Contact support@grindinggear.com for account issues. " Which part? :P In current patch version, most auras reserve 50% of mana (and auras don't really need Supports). These auras tend to be on the stronger side, like Hatred, Anger, Wrath, Grace, Determination. There are also some auras that reserve 35% instead, and grant less popular or general stats, like Discipline, Vitality, and the Purity auras. I mean the former when I say major, and the latter when I say minor. Of course, 85% is less than 100%, so you can reserve 1 major and 1 minor with 15% mana remaining; getting some Mana Leech usually solves the problem for Attack builds there, which Paladins usually are, thankfully. (I believe there used to be a point where all auras were 60% reserve, which meant it was literally impossible to run 2 auras without reserve reduction, but I might have hallucinated that period. Long ago, about half the auras had flat mana reservation, which means that builds without mana bonuses couldn't run more than 1 of those very effectively, if I recall correctly). Need game info? Hammadin: Nope not realy. The skill spectral throw comes near to it. Vaal Skill from Spectral Throw need souls to use.. so no..
FoH: Yeah, the skill storm call Smiter: Yeah, the skill shield charge. Play it with Facebreaker gloves (without any weapon) Aura damage: Only the skill Righteous Fire |

" Ohhhhhhh, I thought you meant... You could run 2 auras without actually reserving any Mana for it. Interpreted your wording differently. |
