Blade flurry doesn't miss...Video in topic.

Basicaly get triggered by no one wanting to test it for themselves, and seems that nobody realy knows about it...So I made a video.

TL;DR/DW; Im a Blade Vortex build, (So) I don't have any accuracy other than Dex, sitting at 498 rating, permanently hitting t12 monsters With Blade Flurry. No vagan dagger/resolute.

simply recorded and uploaded.

Bug or intended? If intended, found no info, possibly extreme autism.

EDIT: Found this out a week ago with my brother who also forwarded onto Flubby, which in searching for other similar bug/tests etc, he had made a reddit post mentioning it. Still seems to have nothing happened.

EDIT2: Rewatched video, did hear one miss at 1:27/28. 1/20 attacks missing with a 66% chance to hit.

Blade Vortex is a Spell, not an Attack, and Evasion cannot be used to evade Spells; Spells always have 100% Chance to Hit, so Accuracy does not affect them.

Uh, said i'm testing it on a blade vortex build, not that the skill in question is blade vortex. Although I definately could have made it more obvious, mistakes were made.

Edit should clarify what I was meant to imply better :/

Ah, my derp. Sorry.
After watching the video, I'm not entirely sure.

It seems like you are not hitting all the mobs within the skill's AoE every time. At 1:19, for example, 4 or even 5 of the mobs should have been in range of the initial hit, but I only see 2 hits and 2 explosions.

The chance of not hitting any of 4 mobs with 66% chance to hit would only be around 1.33%. And if you hit just one, the explosion should also have another chance to hit per mob.

Did you test it on a single enemy as well?

That's how I first tested, many times before recording. Just so happens, that when I was recording I aggrod a mob off screen from the statue spawn-ins I was intending to record.

And I see what you mean, but honestly maybe if I tested with higher damage it would be easier to see, either that or I did simply miss, regardless, rewatched the video, and after other testing previously and since the video. Im most certainly hitting far more than 66% of the time, if anything that random miss could account for the 5% miss chance on cap accuracy (excluding cannot miss).

edit:
And like I said in OP, this was just a quick make video, showing one example of how it's seemingly...Off

I'm certain it can be recreated by just about anyone, on any character. simply equip a bladeflurry usable weapon, white or not. Maybe run something with a little more damage so you can see the obvious values of life drop and run a more extensive test in a t12+, quite easily.

Sorry, my bad. I thought that Blade Flurry hits all enemies within its radius at once. Sequential attacks explain why you didn't hit all of them.

Ahh, yea thought of that but wasn't 100% sure and a little too tired to check atm so i didnt say anything :P speaking of, im heading to bed so no more response from me for some hours, lets hope we get some more input from a GGG member or something, idk just dont like these kind of things, especialy when everyone seems to just disregard it and think its supposed to be that way, or think that someone else would surely have pointed it out so they don't have to and ignore it.

I don't think you need high damage to test this clearly, wouldn't it be enough with a boolean application such as EE or a bleed weapon to see if it hits?

Just tested it with Curse on Hit from Asenath's Gentle Touch. Didn't miss a single one out of more than 100 attacks with 478 Accuracy against a single level 67 mob. Then I did the same thing with Reave and missed more than 1 out of every 4 attacks.

There's no question that Blade Flurry is currently not affected by chance to hit. You can also clearly hear the hit sound on every strike. Everybody can easily test it, because the difference is pretty extreme, especially when you don't have high Accuracy.

Very nice way of testing, I guess I really didn't put that much thought into it XD.
