Do overlapping explosions from Molten Burst projectiles (Ngamahu's) all deal full damage on a mob?

Pretty long title, but the question is pretty much in there.

Especially with +aoe increases and lmp/gmp you get quite a lot of fiery explosions from the unique Molten Burst skill on this unique weapon.
Do they all correctly overlap? Because if so, with a lot of +aoe, it seems like you could make one mob be hit by a good number of these at once. Might even outperform concentrated effect?

Yeah, they overlap to full effect. However, increasing AoE won't boost your single target damage if it works exactly the same as molten strike.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

So.. if they overlap and do their damage each, why wouldn't increased aoe buff my damage output? If I went from say hitting a monster with 2 of the molten bursts on average to 4 with inc aoe?
The problem is, not only the explosion radius gets increased, but also the spread radius, resulting in a lower number of hits on a single target overall.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
What Raics means is that the balls are also launched over a larger area when you increase the AoE.

It doesn't only increase the AoE of the balls hitting the ground, but also their launch AoE.

Therefore the number of overlaps should be the same or just slightly more than before (as less overlap is needed to hit a target).

This is why you want IAOE support for packs and Concentrated Effect against single targets, both in conjunction with Point Blank for a TON of free "more" damage.

Molten Strike is broken like that.
