why when i hold alt does it show hidden items?

Why when i hold alt does it show items I have hidden in my loot filter? They're supposed to be HIDDEN. These crap items move the stuff I'm tring to pick up to a different spot so I pick up junk by mistake half the time.

Because sometimes you want to see hidden items.

You can reposition the item labels by pressing Z, waiting a few hundred milliseconds, and pressing Z again
