[2.5] "Walking Nuclear Reactor" Chieftan (Scorching Ray + RF)

The main idea behind this build was to make something burning, tanky, normally damaging and not in current meta.

Work still in progress (in the very beginning to be honest), but theorycrafting looks interesting.

The Theory.

Damaging Capabilities and Defences

Main sourse of damage - is Burning. So main goals are - spell, fire, elemental and burning damage.

Main skill will be - Scorching Ray
Secondary - Righteous Fire

Gear

Weapon - Doon Cuebiyari, corrupted to have "Socketed skills supported by lvl 10 faster casting", what basicly makes it a 5-link.

Shield - Rise of the Phoenix, to easly maintain RF

Armour - Kaom's Heart. + fire damage, + 500 HP - exacly what do we need. Second option is Belly of the beast.

Head - Some Strengh, Armor, Life, and Resisits Rare

Amulet - Ngamahu Tiki, or some rare with life, spell, fire damage.


Rings - 2 X Kaom's Way. +2 Endurance charges, + 0,8% HP regen per EC.

Boots - Death'ss Door, or Some Strengh, Armor, Life, and Resisits Rare. Secon option is Windscream for 2 curses.

Belt - Strengh, Armor, Life, and Resisits Rare< corrupted for + 1 End. Charge

Gloves - Strengh, Armor, Life, and Resisits Rare



Gems setup

Weapon - SR + Controlled Destruction + Elemental focus +FC from corruption + lvl 30 Iron will From scepter. Alot of More multipliers (59+44+49+40 = 192) is always good. Increased damage alone from weapon will be very good. Adding damage from tree and we're looking solid.

Skill itself can't crit, don't apply Ignite and don't triger EE - what makes it perfect, because it won't suffer any penalty from such insane more multiplier setup.

Boots - Flamability + Elemental weakness + Blasphemy + Enlighten. With SR debuff and EE we potantolly could have - (50 + 44 + 24 + 44 (20%q EW)) - 162% minus fire resistance. Which is quite good. Hexproof maps, in other way, would cause us a problems, but not fatal, i guess.

Gloves - Orb of Storms + Increased Crit - to trigger EO and EE. Increased duration + Immortal Call - manual triggering for some dangerous situations. With 10 charges it will last reasonable time.

Shield - Leap Slam + Fortify + Faster Attacks - for defence and mobility.

Body (if not Kaom's Heart) 3-L RF + IBD + IAE or CE. Other sockets - Purity of Fire with Enlighten. Decoy totem to trigger mobs and prock Cheftain notable effects. (-8% dmg and +16% fire dmg)

Helmet - CWDT + Frost wall + Enduring cry + Stone gollem (if you want one)



Skill Tree

Our main weakness - is no leech at all and need to remain stationary to deal damage. The idea how to deal wit it - 40% flat reduction from Endurance charges, tons of HP and INSANE regeneration.

From tree we will have 233% life, 4 sockets for potential 32% and 40% from Belly (if we're not using Kaom's), what gives us 305% to life.

Also from tree we get 9.7% Life regen. 0.2% regen per EC from tree, 0.5% from Cheftain, 0,8% from 2 Kaom's rings, results 1.5% per EC. What gives us 24.7% regen at 10 EC. With +2% regen from uber Enchant and some tree tweaks we can reach 30% HP regen.

I don't know is there a cap for regeneration, as there is for leech, but i hope not.
