" You have packet loss on hop 4. You'll need to show that to your ISP. Imagine the lack of introspection that would be required to spend your spare time telling people they’ve posted in the wrong section of some company's forum, only to then try accusing someone else of brown-nosing.

" Realistically, diagnosing routing issues, with traeroute in isolation, isn't going to tell you anything useful. That a router failed to respond, within the default timeout, may or may not indicate packet loss. If you wish to get a better view of the situation use mtr or PingPlotter At the very least use PathPing Last edited by Kellog#5737 on Dec 9, 2016, 6:54:15 PM

Im getting a new modem, I talked to my provider and they say my modem is not sending strong signals. They say there is packet loss. I told them after like 3 hours if i can't get this resolved I am dropping them didn't take long for them to find out the problem.

" It's a little more complicated than mtr, however, just add the ip address to the field an press go. You can save the results as an image or text, which you can post here. |

" Not quite sure who you're 'pinging' there, but to check the status of the game servers, choose the nearest (the one you're connected to) from this list and run a trace whilst you're actually playing that game. Last edited by Kellog#5737 on Dec 9, 2016, 11:57:04 PM
