Best Supports for Stone Golem
Looking for a solid damage support for the 6th link on stone golems. Right now I'm pretty sure that Minion Damage, Melee Physical, Added Fire, and Poison are some of the top ones. I'm not wanting to boost his autos as most of his damage comes from ground slams.
So, what would be the best support for the last slot? Conc effect seems nice, but I'm afraid it'll make his aoe too small. Right now the only solid option I can think of is maybe Empower? Its hard to judge though since there are no minion stats to show how much +2/+3 will boost his base damage by on autos and skills. The only other gems I can think of are minion resist (19% more ele damage) and culling strike. Are there any other supports that would boost his damage significantly other than conc effect? Edit: Forgot to mention some skill/gear choices that may factor into the sixth link, running a generosity hatred + grip of the council. empower, melee physical , minion damage, conc effect , poison
keep your damage pool pure so that your external scalers scale off of a larger base that means no added fire also you need to ask yourself right now is poison your main dps or is elemental your main dps.. because right now you seem to be dancing around this question with your gear setup this muddled approach is inefficient Last edited by Saltychipmunk#1430 on Dec 9, 2016, 10:24:46 AM

I'd agree with above except I'd also add that minion speed is necessary. You can never have enough minion speed, the faster they move, the sooner they'll be where you need them to be instead of faffing about half a screen away.

Stone golem+minion damage+incr. aoe+melee phys+ poison/added fire+empower with tons of primordial harmony jewels for more slams, stack mov speed with essences of fear on jewelry and belt

" I'm just scaling the physical as much as I can so that it does scale the elemental/poison as well. Also, I don't really see the problem with mixing poison with elemental? Honestly, there are not that many ways to scale poison (outside of vulnerability, which also scales the physical). If your saying I should ignore poison or added fire for conc or increased aoe then that makes sense I guess. Instead of grip I guess I could use crafted caterina gloves, that would scale everything instead.
