Rare/Unique/Powerful Skill gems?
Now, the understanding I've gathered from the game so far is that skill games are solely limited by stats and the primary color they slot into in equipment right?
So, essentially what I'm suggesting is, why not expand on that system? Instead of having Red, Blue, Green skill gems, why not have unique gems or gems with rare colors that can only be slotted into very specific equipment? For example a unique level 84 sword that might not be particularly special on it's own, but it's also one of the few items that has a slot for the 'ultra apocalypse slash mk. IV' gem. Sort of similarly to how a certain sword could grant non-sorceress classes the ability to cast Inferno in Diablo 2, or the Trang-Oul set could allow Necromancers to cast Fireball, Fire Wall, ect, but rather than making spells from other classes available to eachother, have spells that just wouldn't be usable unless you have a certain unique item. Because the devs aren't allowed to balance equipment and skills? If anything it would be EASIER to balance, because they'll know that X skill would ONLY be usable with X equipment.

Wouldn't another idea maybe be to make *multicolored* gems? so multiple archetypes can use each gem? Like...
Blue+red=purple gem, so it could be formulated for templars, but also a witch or a marauder could use it. I'm not sure what the ability could be. But gem and character customization could REALLY open up if we tried mixing... |

Gems aren't class-specific. They're only limited by stat requirements and whether you have an equipment that can slot them.

I like the idea, but i got another: instead of another colored slot, why not having a unique gems that have the property of fitting in the blue ,green and red socket,, and in order to make the game a bit more balanced, having a limit of 2 of these unique gems per equipment.
